im almost done fixing up the 7mgte and now that its running it's throwing code 51. So i unplugged the tps connector, blew it out and blew out the tps. I used a shot of carb cleaner on the connector and the tps. is that bad? i had nothing else on hand. What should i do about this?
I just got new turbo linkage and cable. They're used but in good condition. Only problem is there is 1" of play in the pedal and when the pedal is floored. The throttle doesn't come wide open. It goes to 75 %. I tried adjusting the screw for adjustment but it didn't fix it. How do u fix...
The connector on my tps is bad on the 7mgte, i was wondering how i could remove the connector from the harness and possibly repair it? Or would anyone know where i could buy a brand new connector, and how to R&R it?
My friend has a LEXUS SC300 with a 2jz-ge vvti and i was gonna just buy it from him for really cheap and drop it in my 89' na supra. Also i'm not going to be using the automatic. I'm going to use my W-58 and possible SPEC clutch kit? Also there r some features i wasn't sure about like the TCS...
I just finished redoing the intake manifold gaskets on the 7mgte and replacing the accordian with a harpipe and running intercooler hardpipes.. it's just under construction but here are some pics.. it's a bit messy. Anyway it runs really good now with the new in tune tps and hard pipes etc...
Hi i just put on some tems struts on my non tems 89 turbo supra and i wanted to know how to properly tighten them? they're real loose and bouncy. I wonder if i use a rachet to tighten down the bolt on top of the strut or theres a little thing in the middle of the strut. Please help...

Ok so I pulled the intake manifold off to replace all the hoses and gaskets to prevent leaks for best performance. So as we were pulling the harness after everything there's a wire that runs down to the transmission that has 2 wires... I couldn't find a connector though? So i cut it to remove...

We've been getting some weird problems with the boost on the engine. Where when u nail it, it jerks.... There's a manual boost controller on the car.. could it be turned up too much? How do i use the thing? it's Got like a Screw and u twist in or out... What does what? And the BOV has a screw on...
I'm more experienced with the 7m-ge but this supra had the 7m-gte engine. There were a few problems with the engine operation though it is a lower milage jdm engine. I think it may have a boost leak somewhere since it pulled nice under 4,000rpm but after 4,000rpm it totally dropped off almost...
