trace the wiring.

Why would i trace the wiring? I could just test each pin in the tps connector in conjunction with the ecu... But i didn't have this code before i put the new tps on while i was getting code 51... since i tested the old tps and it was bad.. had a break in IDL and E2.

I found all the articles relating to the 7mgte and the tps related ohms, resistance, and voltage testing... Is this all correct? I'm not sure what the significance of the fuel cut rpm is but it's related to the tps?

My driving problem is when i'm WOT it's sputters through boost... you know? Vroom... ba... vroom.. ba... vroom all the way through the power band... It's the VTA signal that may be shorted or not working and causing the code, because that's what the EFI section on the TSRM says about 41... "There's a problem with the VTA signal" which is the signal for when your are at 100% full throttle.

OPEN OR SHORT CIRCUIT IN THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR SIGNAL (VTA) ie.. WOT conditions are significantly jepordized... (My car builds a 1/2 Pound of boost at WOT) and it will spool to 5psi at Close to WOT with no sputters...

has anyone ever had this problem before? I think the metal contacts inside the tps connector are loose and i think i may have to pull them together tighter to get a connection with the VTA tps signal. I tried using conductive grease and it didn't work so i'll be doing more testing to see if i can eliminate this problem which is so annyoing. Also why doesn't the check engine light ever come on?
