Hey guys,
taking a different route with my JZA70, which has been off the road for almost 12 months with a mysterious electrical issue while I looked for a new auto electrician and tuner. I now have a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5 which is my daily and since I rarely drive the Supra, I decided I...
Im in the process of building my JZA70 for track work. Id still like to use the car on the streets for occasional meets and the odd weekend drive but the priority is to make it handle as well as possible. I have some alloy subframe spacers here for the front and the rear (and also a bunch of...
Well, I hardly drive my car anymore and its becoming more of a track orientated build by the day. Its currently due to have a haltech PS2000 ECU wired in with a total new map and E85 has just become more readily available here in Adelaide, Australia. I figured i'll take the plunge and go E85...
Who is using them? Seems to be very little available for the MK3. I know there are the supernow out of japan available on RHD japan but there seems to be a big discrepancy between their pricing and whats on supernow's direct website.
Rumour has it that the MK4 megan racing tie rod ends fit...
I've just bought a racepak logger dash to put in my car and I want to do away with the stock instrumentation all together.
The dash looks like this...
I was planning on gutting the factory panel and fitting this along with some blinkers for the turn signals and finishing with some sort...
Who makes them? I'm after some for the front and/or rear. I acknowledge that this will do wonders for the discomfort of the car, but its a road course orientated set up so making it handle better is my major goal. I will probably weld the rear subframe onto the chassis but if anyone knows where...
is the owner on this forum? I was browsing google images and this appeared in a link. the car looks f***ing amazing and I wanted to ask the owner particularly about the wheels...
cheers
Just a quick question, not technical discussion. I'm piecing together an oil cooler kit with remote filter and need to confirm what thread i need to get for 1JZ GTE (i know 7M, 1JZ, 2JZ all take the same filter so the thread is therefore the same).
I am pretty sure its 3/4-16 inch, can...
just looking for someone to chop the wing off this black JZA80 onto my JZA70 if possible please. Pic of my car is a little further away but angle is similar enough I hope.
and my car
greatly appreciated!
bit of a newb question, but what are people using in the way of boss kits here in the US? I know HKB do one out of Japan but i'd like to know what is on offer in the US for our cars, preferably to match up with a Sparco steering wheel (I think they are same pattern as momo). If anyone can...
I've had the ARZ wilwood 4 pot kit on my jza70 for less than 12 months, have barely driven the car in that time, maybe 2000 miles. In the past few days I've noticed a creaking sound coming from the front right when braking. So I jacked the car up to take a closer look. When I press the brake...
There are a few different part numbers, GSS340/341/342. I am after the 500hp internal version (255L/h) and it's going into a JZA70 with the stock fuel hanger (single pump application). Apprently the differences between parts is the angle at which the filter bag hangs?
Also, are there any...
Has anyone used something from the GTK range on their 1JZ (or any other motor for that matter)?
I have been offered a Turbonetics GTK 550 that has done less than 1K miles at a reasonably good price and want to know how I can expect it to perform alongside a 1JZ GTE.
Engine is stock, with...
I really prefer my interiors to be neat and tidy, my latest A70 didnt come with the greatest condition interior, and this is largely due to the carpet being stained and torn. The condition is poor to the point where the carpets were almost a throw away anyway so I thought id experiement with...
I'm on the hunt for a new steering wheel as the personal on my car is old and tired, not to mention some peanut used non-tapered fasteners and has essentially tried to fit a sqaure peg into a round hole, thus chewing out the fastener holes.
I feel like steering wheels often are over looked...
feel like i've started a thread every day just recenly, but here goes :naughty:
those of you who've done the ARZ wilwood instal (this question concerns the 4 pot front kit):
i've just gone to slide my pads into the calipers and im finding they dont actually fit - there isnt enough of a gap...
I've got a complete brand new speedo cable assembly here ready to fit. I've read in some threads on here that it needs to be lubricated? IS this the case with a brand new toyota replacement or is it pre-lubed?
if not, what kind of lubrication is required?
cheers
Below are some pics of the FRONT lower strut bolt. Notice there is a thick washer there. I've done this bolt up damn tight and there isnt much thread left over. The other side doest not have a washer, it could be missing (perhaps someone didnt put it back somewhere along the line) or maybe it...
Might be a stupid question...but how much grease should you pump
in when greasing a brand new ball joint? Surely if you over-fill the joint it could damage dust seals/boots. I took my new ball joints into an auto shop for them to
grease but it doesn't feel like there is a whole lot in there...
