Has anyone used something from the GTK range on their 1JZ (or any other motor for that matter)?
I have been offered a Turbonetics GTK 550 that has done less than 1K miles at a reasonably good price and want to know how I can expect it to perform alongside a 1JZ GTE.
Engine is stock, with autronic SM4 full stand alone computer. My goals are to comfortably clear 400rwhp, but I dont want to sacrafice too much response (i.e. would prefer full boost around for before 4,000 RPM).
The GTK range has been around for a few years now, they look sensational but i'm more concerned with performance side of things.
Here are the specs:
Comp. wheel: 61mm
Turbine wheel: 62mm
Turbine housing: T4 .82 A/R
Its a single ceramic BB turbo also.
I know it has the capacity to reach the power goals in mind comfortably, but what sort of response should I expect with that sized turbine wheel? 62mm is definately in the mid range I would say.
if anyone can shed some light, much appreicated!
