LOL what a douchebag.... if only Duane/IJ/KwNate/and all those other bigHP MK3'ers were there. lol he'd get his ass served to him... clearly has know idea about Supra Heritage/History he shouldn't even be in a mk4... tool.
I am going to swap out with the factory sender unit just wanted to know exactly what everything is in the diagram and that was the only one that I had a blank on.
Cheers for that by the way.
I believe i'm going to do that, as I'm not going to fart ass around getting it in another spot.
Anyone recall possibly where the Thermostat diagram was, I remember seeing one with each plug and a description... still searching for it at the moment.
Edit:
I have found the pic, now the question...
Guys, if I am to disregard the stock dash sender unit and put the aftermarket gauge in its place on the thermostat, that should in theory work? I recall seeing on some thermostat page that the temperature sender to the ECU is different to the temp sender for the gauge cluster. I'll try find...
That's unlucky about the IC's, would you recommend them though for someone like myself pushing at most 400crank HP one day...?
It's amazing too I've learnt so much on this forum from all its members that you would otherwise be left in the dark with.
IJ: very interesting about the rattle... I was just putting two and two together from a post someone put about the supra ECU before 176* F it runs in enrichment and after 210* it advances or something to prevent detonation.. which then your post made me think about the whole heat issue and why a...
Is there? :O umm so me being RHD that would be the drivers side, water neck? where abouts.. (if you have a pic that would be fantastic)
Water outlet housing?
If I was to use the thermostat housing, wouldn't I then lose the original temp sender...? so my digital dash will have temp at 0...
Yeah mine ate the green part too i think it was never replaced in its life sofar.. so it was so amazing two days ago I literally creamed my pants at the difference it made to the car... just ftmfw.
Thanks dude :burnout:I try to keep her as clean as possible, although she's a little dirty at the...
IJ, if you could run 30psi on the twin turbo v8 or whatever it was with composite HG, then in theory i'm just trying to think a few things here, the HG on the 7M if torqued correctly at stock specs (for boost etc..) and provided there are no problems with cooling in theory should never detonate...
Guys I few days ago had my centre bearing balanced and I put the tailshaft back in... and during that I also took out the shifter so I can see inside why I had so much play in gear.. well that black/green bushing was totally wasted... got one from Toyota after finding the part thread on here and...
Anyone know what this BSPT, NPT (national pipe thread?) stuff is in mm's or even inches would help...I found this thread after a search here, then have done some googling... but =/.
I read this in a thread as I want to install my temp sender and I'm lost as to what 3/8 bspt? is... 3/8 of an...
thanks guys for all the replies I just got the bushing from Toyota, I never knew I was missing the whole green part... and just had the black... that would explain the sloppyness and lots of movement on the shifter if you were to wiggle it while in gear.
Ok I have found a distributor that can get the "parts" in for me... those two bushings...
What are the part numbers guys? for those two rubber seals, the one that appears to be grinded up and the one thats midway ...?? I've got the bottom plastic yellow bit a new one of those, so that's okay...
Hi Guys,
I pulled out the tailshaft today as im having the centre bearing changed and balanced.
While I was in the spirit of taking things out I also took out the shifter to have a look inside and I have a few pics I need some expert advice on whether there is a rubber bushing where the...
could it be the fork on your slave cylinder that's busted.. so you put your foot in on the clutch and it doesn't disengage the clutch to allow for you to shift...?? I had a cousin of mine break his clutch but in a way that it kept the fork open and it also made it hard to move and shift... he...
If he'd get 1-2cars a head of you it's illogical that you could pass him when you have 6gears which means more frequent shifting which means quicker to drop boost then spool again which is the part where he leaves you... that mk3 also sounds like it has something wrong... not saying I don't...
