Seeing as a McLaren F1 the previous fastest car can be at 200km/h and the Veyron at 0km/h and have the Veyron still beat it to 300km/h... I think that speaks all for itself. Corvette might be fast but the Veyron is in a leage of its own.
They are between 80-100k AUD for a non monaro but HSV GTS Commodore VE...(307kw) but then at the end of the day its a family based car, with a chassis designed for 5doors as opposed to our much loved car which is made as a coupe from day 1.
I think a Z06 costs $240,000 in Australia... if you were to get one in from GM. My god what you can do to a Supra for that money... and that much money for only 505bhp? stinks.
is that so? I've seen a roundup of 'supercars' (was in German) and the Z06 just sux top end... like baddly (as far as 'time it takes to get there..'). It is up there with a Carrera GT off the start and falls of the face of the earth in 5th,6th gear...
If you're purely doing unlimited mile...
Also how did F1 cars sustain 5.5bar boost.... how could the turbo handle the heat? how could the material withstand the sheer amount of forced induction? Gaskets? Hardpipes?.... lots of questions and you still wonder how behind today's cars even are... if you look at the hey day of F1... but...
That was an amazing read... hearing them in real life even 15-20metres away you feel like your body is going to crumble from the sheer vibrations.
The F1 cars of the 80s are also amazing, and while we are on the topic of engines/big power... while nowhere near as big but watching some GroupB...
rofl that's gold man... made me laugh over here :biglaugh: sig worthy right there.
On a serious note though, why did the Bugatti Veyron have 4 turbo's and not 1 big turbo (also doesn't ping...), yet it makes 1001hp all day every day and runs 407km/h?
Obviously displacement is very...
600rwhp is a big difference compared to 500bhp... that is all. Given both drivers are good no reason why the supra shouldn't win hands down every time provided also has good enough tires.
hahahaha.... :runaway:
edumacation rofls...
Good stuff though laying down the smack, that guy that said its a V6 I guess said that because he has no idea a straight six exists.... nor how an engine works..:naughty:
Yeah I figured this might have been, I just did a search before I started the thread and didn't find nothing useful or anything remotely matching this (now I dont want to be proved wrong but if first search result didn't give me what I want I opened the thread :), plus I think sometimes its good...
