From what I've read the GE cams are excellent staying under the 350 hp range, Other wise not.

Question..I was under the impression that oil squirters were a crucial part of the GTE block, Did you have them fitted to your GE block and just not show it or are you free ballin that part ?

Yes I have experience, I dynoed my car with and w/o it...against other variables as well. Anyways, With out the resonator it lost hp..Really thats enough for me to keep it on. It isnt the prettiest thing but it works so..and its not so much that the hp was huge but the power band was way off...

If you removed it, It could be welded pretty easily. If it were me I'd weld it front and back, Grind it smooth and reinforce it by welding on a steel plate over the cracked area. Unless just replacing it with a uncracked one would be easier.

So, You're saying that going from a 9.2:1 compression to a 11.0:1 compression will net No gains ? I will say that $800.00 just for pistons is a bit on the high side of things. I'd rather Buy a 1uz-fe, refreshen it and throw on some bolt ons and go from there.
