Honestly I would't even bother..Its hard to get more than $200 or so out of a running 7mge.
If the piston is laying at the bottom of the oil pan your block is probably done..At best the head is rebuildable.
A bare head is worth about $50.00
Majority of the cost will reflect how many ppl want one and how much I can get my powder coating guy to do a "lot" of them for.
I would def need a bulk pre-paid order for them, The guy I use lives about 75 minutes from me.So just for one intake box thats 150 miles. In any case..Im down in Florida...
That is true..Intake on race applications are always straight through.
I think I will need to do a dyno before & after everything is done and see if the dyno proves that a resonator is better than a non resonator intake..or vice versa...We will see.Come to think of it I may do a dyno of a paper...
on the hemholtz it does reduce sound, This is what our super mod ma70.ent said
"Intake- The stock intake in itself is a good flowing cold air intake, and the helmholtz resonator (intake resonator) is actually good for performance and should not be removed. The only thing that should be removed...
Yea I thought about the aluminum idea but its so expensive and it was my first throw at it so I didnt want to waste money.
But that is a good idea if this idea picks up some interest. On the wrap deal..I agree it is cheaper but that stuff just looks tacky especially after it ages a bit...and...
Chambers:
yes the hemholtz resonator will stay, It is an important part of the intake system.
Sorry didnt draw it in.
Ma70.Ent:
I respect you and the job and info you have on this board but i have to disagree, If reflective heat wrap is so good...Why do ppl have their headers ceramic coated and...
Negative..This may be true if it were bare metal But Im having mine ceramic coated inside and out.
(Which was stated earlier)I had this same set up on a `89 Celica st-162..Its exhaust is just as
close as ours is on the 7mge.I took temp readings of the ceramic box compared to plastic and
the...
Im in the middle (more towards the beginning) of rebuilding my 7mge-T and from what I've read ...
These are the bearing you want:

These are the pistons you want:

You'd have to cut your own holes but usually gauges go over the cut line so you never see that.
and if you look inside your glove box you have little steps that come out, Just stick some dbl stick 3M tape or hot glue it on.
Really who uses their glove box in a supra anyways?..And did you see how...
From what i've read the upgraded DM oil pump is the best..Also get a mandrel bent pick up tibe from DM.
Those just look sweet ! Those numbers are insane...I would be beyond happy with that if i made that much hp.Good luck man. =]
Edit:
It doesnt look like DM carries the Arizona line any longer...
Not insane goals but 350 to the wheels/420 at the crank
is my round about area I want it to be at.
57 or 60 trim is most likely..along with everything else needed.
hvyman:
I will not buy pistons until I have a machinist take a look at it. =]
Sorry I ment 0.005, I already cleaned the head mating surface and had my machinist look at it.
It looks pretty good as is but he said that 0.005 would be plenty.
