if you dont want popups or a diff front bumper the only thing i would look into is i think its a older soarer front end swap. look at soapra's car.

the turbo is wat flows more air not the piping. smaller piping= less lag bigger piping = more lag cause theres more space to fill with air.
check for boost leaks and check for shaft play on the turbo.
the problem is a quality hid conversion kit requires modification to the stock mounting and the quality part makes for a expensive kit.
cheap= lasting less than a year. oem retrofit or custom are your options.

op you might have a cai but its still going threw a 1300* turbo.(if your turbo). would be better to just get a upgraded intercooler.
removing the side trim makes the car look like shit. paint them. if you notice the trim raps around the whole body including front turns side markers and tail light trim. kills the whole look of the car filling them in and the fiberglass would prolly start cracking within a year or 2
just pull the shaft from the inner part that mounts to the diff, separate the housing from the tripod bearings, mark the housing and shaft(there's also marks), mark the tripod bearing and the shaft and remove the c clip holding it on, remove old boot install new and reverse order.

im with fixitman. jacks can slip or loose pressure and then your dead. jack stands and the proper lifting points. if i was you i would pull the motor replace the pan and your power steering lines and be on your happy way. why second guess yourself?

bbk or stock. i really dont see much of a difference with are small stock rotors and pads versus upgraded pads and brembo blanks. i have run both brembo blanks and trd ceramic pads and stock with stock pads all feels about the same. if your going for performance go with a bbk period. people...
