sounds like your not getting a good connection to the battery. check the grounds. use the dmm and see if you have voltage on the ground side(if you do there not grounded) see if you have voltage on the cables them self. do your door lights work or the overhead lights?

ngk coppers gapped properly. check the tsrm for proper coil testing. p.s. weather or not your running before fuel cut a fcd is not a good mod. fuel cut is ther to save you.

try using a easy out or a socket with a tighter fit or one size smaller. lots of pb blaster will help some too. if it rounds you will ahve to cut the head to remove the trans.

bc doesnt make good cams for the 7m. the 7m doesnt have good cam choices but other than that you can find what ever you want pretty easy if you know wher4e to look. same goes for the 1jz/2jz. its all personal pref. but as money goes you can rebuild the 7m for the cost of a 1j and you will...

good luck finding toda or hks cams for the 7m. check out rhdjapan.com if you havent already. they have a toda valvetrain kit right now but it has no cams.

no all jz bellhousings are different. the v160 does not have a bellhousing for the 7m. and the 5spd and autos are just w58's and a340's. no different on those 2 from our cars. you'd have to make a adapter plate for the v160 and it sits a couple inches farther back than the r154 and w58.

reset the codes and see if they come back.

i doubt it but you can try. any easier solution would be to buy the auto zone one and cut the tabs and weld them in the right spot.
