Ok, I admit it, I'm an addict. You couldn't pry me off this site with a forklift and a team of nude swedish bikini models.
Wait a minute... did I say bikini?
/me logs off...
sathu, Horsepowerfreaks carries the SP61 and SP58 in a bolt on configuration. Plus there are many upgrades you can do to the CT26.
hottscennessey, there is a thread that deals with this in the FAQ section: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3329

Heh... even if you figure out what the tires weigh... and subtract that from the approximate weight of the new tires and wheels... what do you do then? How much speed / accel does a 5 lb wheel reduction make?
You can calc until you are blue in the face, but the end result is going to be...
Seriously, I've known several people with the things. They are several orders of magnitute worse... I've honestly never seen a car in the shop so often, with the exception of the 'real' junk - ladas and the like. The last guy to buy one literally had it at the dealership more than 50 percent...
Err... no. You can bypass the stock turbo coolant lines if you want, no ill effects.
Overheating is generally caused by a few very common things, and is made worse in the summer months if you live somewhere hot.

Hello, and welcome.
How many miles does a week translate into - and what kind of driving, city, freeway?

As it turns out, one of my friend's wives drives a Corolla AE86. I mentioned that it was a popular car for drifting at my last BBQ, and she had no...

Starts to sound like you should be looking at a small ball bearing turbo with a max of 400-450 whp, and a standard flange so you can...
Couple more things to throw into the pot for consideration.
500 hp on twisty roads is a LOT. Especially on our chassis.
Also, you have mentioned a standalone ECU - which could increase your rev limit. A 4500 - 7500 range on a high output turbo with the standalone gives you the same...
1. Lots of people use head bolts. Lots of people use head studs. Studs are a bit of a pain to get the head off while it's in the car, but not impossible by any stretch.
2. It's not a nightmare. :) Just clean the parts and label them with a permanent marker as you disassemble it. Check...
Do you know what kind of power you want to run?
The option that nobody has mentioned is putting in a new stock gasket. They are on a whole new level of forgiving when it comes to the RA, and they are more than sufficient to 400+ hp.
