You are paying two thousand dollars for a horn? WOW.
BTW, I have the Hella Twin-Tone Compressor air horns on my car right now...and they work and sound great, but it seems like the compressors don't last very long..:(.
Brakleen (Brake Parts Cleaner) will do fine...I would take everything off, and clean and dry all seperately, so you don't miss any thing...but that's just me...
My thoughts exactly...for that to be on my car, it would have to be flush with the bumper, and flat, not all rounded and bulging out like a jellybean. ;)... I want it to look sharp like the stock one does...if you can't improve on the original lines of the car, why bother?
Ummm...how will replacing a head gasket, fix rod knock? You need to worry about them both while the engine is apart...why have a car with a good head gasket, but with rod knock?? And then have to tear it apart again?
You put the plastiguage between the crank and the bearing, that's the clearance you want to measure...
And I don't know if what Figit did compares to what you're doing, as he did a headgasket and you are basically doing a partial rebuild...but good luck!
YEA!!! Shine finally made a pre-89 lip! lol...us Socal Supra people saw him (forgot his name, the guy from shine) at an Autobacs meet a couple of weeks ago, and pleaded with him to make a pre-89 lip....lol...I guess it was worth it!!
Wait, so your car isn't cranking AT ALL? Or it cranks and won't start now? And I would also find out what terminals were jumpered on the diag. block. I bet it was the fuel pump... Maybe something is funky with the relay, fuel pump is going out, or maybe fuel filter? Just my .02.
