Do you know the key code for your ignition lock? And a new key + computer cutting from Toyota is ~$20.

I have seen a couple of write ups on how to do this...(SOGI, and Dylan) but they are all for 89+ cars... it says tha the wire colors will be different for pre-89 cars...Does anyone have a link for a write-up for pre-89's, or know which wires are different and what color are they? :aigo: Thanks.

Both of my Supras did exactly what you're talking about, I had Toyota cut a new key using the keycode loacted on the passenger door's lock cylinder...it fixed the problem entirely...the key now feels very snug in the ignition.

No way! So that's where that plate came from! When I first got my Supra, I was taking off the accordian hose, and heard something fall, it was a plate that looked exactly like that! LOL I always wondered where it came from...I'm not sure what it means...at first I thought it was the key code...

It is right behind the brake disc, just remove the wheel, caliper, and rotor, and you will see what looks like a drum with notches in it that go all the way around it...look for the only wire leading to that area, it's the speed sensor, should be pretty obvious. edit: aahh...cjsupra beat me...

Was the honda you took the fans from a Turbo car? I didn't think so ;)... I would put the stock fan & clutch back on, and get rid of those Honda ones...That's your problem.

Wow! Thanks guys! The Dayton and Tang Band speakers look to be a great value, but the Morel are a bit pricey...If I had't already done the Bose conversion, I would have probably gone with the Dayton's, low-cost, 4ohms, and I like the cast frame with 6 holes, would make custom mounting much...
