im finaly puting my ENG back to gether after a long brake...and as i was bolting up the J tube on the block i noticed a hole about the size of a nickle on the block just above the J tube and when i spin the oil pump pully i can see some thing inside turning looks like the oil pump drive...My...
im dig a full rebuild over the last year and went to put my head back to gether today but as i go to put my cams back in the tape i had labled them with is missing now i dont know what one is the intake or the exhust...is there a differance in the two and how to i tell what is what
thanks for the info i added it up and get 1.624mm but im still going to measure the block just to make sure...so ill probly be going wiht a 1.5mm HG un less theres a 1.6mm HG out there
i did alot of searching dont understand how to do the measurments to find out what thickness HG i need. The head was decked .009 and block was .0010 Do i just add the numbers to what the stock gasket thickness...any help would be grate
my car has a old scool pfc fcon since i got but not sure what it realy does and how... also will it support RC550, FPR, and a wallbro 255. with out the lex AFM i do hava a safc 2 lieing aroud should i swap the fcon for the safc 2
all i know is it was a HKS 1.5mm as for the MHG...it look grate there is an out line of where it was seald or seated when it was put on kinda left an out line of the head on one side and block on the other side...im gessing the viton is the BLACK coating in the MHG

heres my prob i just put my eng back to gether full rebuild new gaskets,main and rod bearings, ARP studs,and hks MHG. when we did the first start up after a few minuts idleing it was milk shaked so we pulled it back apart and MHG was perfict...but cylinder #6 had some water in it and no carbon...
my long awated build after geting screwd by a shady shop 2years ago in TN...if you want it done right you have to do it your self...i local shop in TN did a HG job for me since i didnt have the time to do it my self...i got an 1.5 HKS HG ARP studs and a greedy timeing belt and some other stuff...
im about to put my ENG back to gether and im replacing the bearings with stocks all i did was had the crank polished. Do i need to make sure i measure the clearnces or could i just order standerd bearings.
