the only code i got was HAC but thats because i forgot to plug it in but as for now theres no codes. I thinking of pulling the intk manifold putinga new gasket and replaceing all the vac lines near there.but if it is a vac leak would it rev fine.

found out why the brake clean didnt find any vac leaks its nonflamible so im going to try some thing else.but any other ideas would help

so if i block off the iac and the pcv system the car should boog and die if not then i theres eather air passing the Tb or vac leak some where after the TB

also could i just cap off the two vac lines on the TB sinc theres no egr stuff

first off i just swaped a used 7mgte. Used my old harnes and intake manifold. Well it starts right up an idles at like 2k for about 10sec then it bonces between 1500-2000 rpm like its got a vac leak but i cant find it. also theres no egr its a jspec. so far i tryed spray brake cleaner looking...

ive ben trying to swap a eng in my car well i got the new one in and cant find the altinator plug that goes in to the back. it should have a round looking plug and the one the screws on to the top is the only one i can find but theres 3wires that are broken i think they might be where the plug...

is there a big differance in the mounts in differant years i have an 88t auto and im doing a swap but the eng going in has differnt looking eng mounts then the one i pulled out should i just swap the ones off the old eng.

had to remove upper intk manafold and for got where some of the vac lines go like from the top of TB or the realy little hard lines that bolt to the manafold. So a pic or diagram would be grate TY

sure it does if its a runing eng but its ben sitting for wile empty so it could take a wile. For example just finished building a 350 and i took like 10-15min with a drll spining the oil shaft till we had all the oil pasages filled.

I was just wounderiif there was a way to pme the oil system like u would on a ie..350 eng where you hook up drill to the l pump shaft and spin the oil pumtill you got oil in all the gallies or od oil psi. but thanks for althe info

im about to put in a used eng i just got and wantedto know how do i prime the oil system befor start up. dont know how long its ben siting i bought it from a eng importer. so its empty of all fluids.
