Make sure the exhaust studs on the head arent getting stuck on the manifold and make sure the fuel rail doesnt have the fuel lines hooked up if its still bolted onto the head.
I hooked a crowbar on the top bolt that holds the alternator and pulled the head up like that when mine was stuck.
Word for word exactly what I was thinking the other day.
How do you guys torque that bolt back on when the engine spins?
Im going to try to fish it out again a different way but if I end up taking the cover off, Im definitely changing the belt and seal.
Yes the block is still in the car with the auto attached to it.
I tried a magnet but its one of those retractable ones and it kept getting pushed back in and attached to other metal parts before I managed to really feed it in there. Im going to try and cut the magnet off and fasten it to a...
I popped the head off the engine and my dumbass dropped a bolt down inside the lower timing belt cover in the process.

also what other...

I guess all the smoke was because I was running very rich since air was escaping the intake tract.
Im pissed. My front bumper was so beautiful before this happened lol.
I gave my intercooler a nice big crack a couple days ago. Today I took it off to get ready to replace it and I noticed that if you rotate the upper pipe it lines up pefectly with the lower pipe coming from the turbo. Even the shape of the pipe wraps around components nicely.
Do you think...
