Did you burp your coolant system before you drove it? If it already over heated a few times then you probably warped that head anyways. Get another decent one and dont use a shim.

No. Hook up the aftermarket boost gauge vacuum line to the intake manifold, not to the stock boost sensor.

If you dont machine the surfaces the MHG will not seal right, then stuff goes where its not supposed to next thing you know you're looking for another replacement. Stock HG is a lot more forgiving with an unperfect surface and can withstand about 400hp+ if installed right.

The gear in the distributor will spin as you insert it. Turn it a notch back before you install it so it ends up on the No.1 Plug wire.

I think Im just gonna go with unplugging the key sensor and not the door switch since I dont wanna find out the hard way that my door is open on the freeway haha.. and the integration relay is more trouble than this is worth. Thanks for help guys.
