eBay gasket kit

I read somewhere (driftmotion I think) the HG in gasket kits arent very good because they dont have the copper rings around the coolant holes, but the one I got in my kit from ebay does have em.
is it ok to use then? or is there something else about em that makes em suck?

also what other gaskets/seals should I avoid using from these sets?

and lastly, is it a good idea to use copper spray on the paper gaskets? or is RTV a better option?

I bought an ebay gasket set once.... It was for my 92 stealth turbo. Virtually all of the gaskets fit poorly and the rear main seal lasted less than 100 miles. The brand was Evergreen I believe. Use fipg (form in place gasket) where Toyota calls for it.

So your saying that the gasket set for the 1jz on driftmotion isnt worth buying?

It was on a 7MGE and lasted about four months and less than 5000 miles.
I would recomend always buying from a known source with a verifiable reputation. More often than not it is true that you get what you pay for.

Ok well I decided to use the Felpro HG I have lying around. Dont even wanna risk it.

What about the valve stem seals in these kits? Anybody have had any issues with those?
