    Targa Suports.

I still have and sometimes use a set of the Dean Marcum bars. I also have the 1st and 2nd Gen WeezL wings (bought a spare to support the group buys). The wings cost a bit more to make and probably won't be made again for awhile, unless someone can do it better/cheaper I suppose. The targa...

    R154; Bench test??

Okay, so I am bustin'-@$$ and have rebuilt the spare R154 tranny. Getting ready to remove/replace the one that's in the car. However before I go thru all that, is there a process I an use to run through the gears and test that the rebuilt one will work properly (as much as I can tell on the...

Fix for Error Code 42: Speed Sensor Error

I'd double-check the speed signal output wire that comes from the speedo... It feeds several other components, but should be fine as long as you're using the regular cable from the tranny. The ABS may be a factor, but I would not think so. I think I had a JDM tranny and just moved/installed...

    Oil Filter Relocation ?

bringing this back, 'cause I've got some work to do this weekend. I moved the oil filter part, below to the tranny/starter area. I am using 1 port for the turbo feed and the other for the 7M pressure sender. Ever since I moved it, the oil pressure gauge has not worked. so, am replacing...

    Strut Options?

I love my Tokicos and eliminated the TEMS when I installed 'em. But yeah, what are you looking to do? Just replace the stock ones, while sticking with the stock springs?

    R154 refill

75W-90 (API GL-4 or GL-5)... without LSD additives. You'll get alot of diff. people's preferences...Royal Purple, etc. Just stay away from anything w/LSD additive already in it, since it negatively affects the synchros (I believe).

    R154 refill

Or, if you already have easy access to remove shifter, you can pour 3.2 quarts in from there. Do a search on "R154 gear oil" ...should help.

    have some questions about r154

I am almost finished w/my rebuild and after the Marlin Crawler upgrades... was at about $550 in parts.... Rebuild kit alone is about half (~$259). Depends on what you wanna do.

    have some questions about r154

If you know the internals are good, I would just go with a Toyota seal kit... should have the small seals for the speed sensor, speedo gear, and a few other small ones, as well as the rear seal I think. If the internals are questionable, I'd do the rebuild kit (comes w/synchros, bearings, and...

    Installing Digital speed-signal-sender on R154

Going to install one of these on the tranny I am rebuilding. I am going to use the signal for my Apexi RSM and use it as a speedometer. Anyone have any experience with these? Installation fairly straightforward? TIA...

Need R-154 Clutch Fork Pin Retaining Clip

No clips on the NA fork (or the one I have). Take the pin w/you to Home Depot and look in the specialty fasteners section for a clip that does the job.

Break out the custom race dashboards

Thought about doing a dash pad and center console in fiberglass... making better use of the space around the radio, as well as building in a couple of cup holders. Yeah, I said "cupholders." Meant to go to a junkyard and get a center console from another car which has the features/fitment...

Need R-154 Clutch Fork Pin Retaining Clip

It may be awhile, but I think I have a spare N/A fork somewhere. I'll be in the garage tonight. Will take a pic if I come across it. The place it's at is not bad (too internal), so I'd get another clip... maybe from a variety/assortment at the local auto parts, or one of the kits Harbor...

    Upgraded alternator & wiring write-ups?

Many searches, yielding few results :( Does anyone have the link to a write up for upgrading the alternator wiring? Installed high-output 160AMP alternator on the 2JZ and ran 0-gauge cable back to the 7M alternator stock connector (for the top of alternator). Thing is, I wanted to run the...

    alternator wire upgrade

I went to replace the large wire on the alternator with a 0-gauge, but am finding that the wire splits up near the fusebox. I am adding a 160AMP alternator and am in a really good spot to address these wires. Pics please of what ya'll have done. Do I need to use a small distribution block...

Some R154 Transmission Rebuild In Progress Pictures

Looks like I'll get a chance to get the right seal packing from Toyota... Need to order a couple of C-clips after all. Gonna put as far together as I can tomorrow (while still being able to install the new parts when they come in). May find more stuff that needs replacing and hoping to swap the...

Some R154 Transmission Rebuild In Progress Pictures

looks like it comes w/a new pin and does not have the parallel grooves on both faces, like the stock one does. U anm finding it difficult to slide the washer fully down... the pin seems to be VERY tightfitting. TRSM doesn't say anything about putting strong pressure on it to fully seat.
