I'm doing the wiring for a 1jz swap and realized that I only have the b1 connector. Pics below. Anyone know why this is. I've been unable to find anything on this online.
My brother had his supra "stolen" from a shop where the car was getting a headgasket redone at. Here's the story:
In summer of 2008 in july, I had a friend's dad who had done work to my other supra take on the task of taking care of my brother's bhg on the 7m-gte. My brother needed the car done...
I had an issue with the injector wires so i ran new wire for the grounds but dont know where to run power for them or what they get powered up into the harness. :1zhelp:
I suspected my igniter to be faulty but turned out good, figured I should post these results to see what you guys on the forum think.I found the online igniter pinout for the 1jz and and here's what I got:
pin 1 and 6 = 1878
pin 2 and 5 = 1888
pin 3 and 4 = 1897
pin 7 and 12 = 1877
pin 8...
My 1jz is nearly running perfect, there are no engine codes but the engine still runs rich. I start the engine and the afr's start at mid 13ish and drop. my setup is one walbro on switch, 440's and afpr set to 35psi on single turbo setup. I don't know what else to look at. Any thoughts?
I just installed a NEO in my brother's supra and went through the initialize setup and did the sensor check, started the car and it runs rich with no engine codes. wide band reads 11-12 AFR. No clue as to what caused the problem. Mod's to fuel system are just a walbro, 550's and afpr set to 35...
I have done extensive work and many of hours testing, rewiring and troubleshooting this issue with my single turbo 1jz. I keep getting a code 31 for the airflow meter circut and a tps code, I fixed the wire for the tps then it went away and now its back. So i believe that i have another wire...
I know, code 47, there is no 47 that I could find but I tripple checked and it really is code 47. Here's my issue, my 1j is running rich, like below 11AFR. I have gone over the ecu and had the capacitors replaced, checked the harness for loose wires, checked the map sensor and fixed the knock...
I just finished changing over my 1jz to single turbo and when I was checking everything out during the voltage test, I probed E1 and B+ in the diagnosis box and got maybe 2V with the key switched to the on position. I checked my grounds and not sure what it could be. Any pointers??? And yes the...
I finished my 1jz single turbo build and am not sure how I need to go about the start up procedure as to actually turning the engine over. I am running the Apexi Neo and the aem Uego wideband. I know how to run throught the start up procedure on the Neo. What do I do about boost? I have the...
I have installed a single walbro pump with a -6an bulk head fitting running -6an all the way from the tank to the rail. I am now unsure weather or not to do the 12v fuel pump mod. I know that the mod keeps the pump running off of the same voltage feed and on the other hand decreases pump life...
I'm going back to my twin setup and have the MKIV swapped injectors in. I was wondering if anyone has done this with any complications. I figured that the boost would have to be turned up a bit to compensate for the fuel. Let me know what I'm getting into.:1zhelp:
I'm in the last phase of my build, just mocking up IC pipes on the passenger side; and I went to take of the compressor housing and I ended up chipping a little bit of the corners of 3 out of 6 wheels. Is my turbo still useable? I'll post pictures shortly.
I got an aftermarket oil feed line for my turbo and don't know where to install in on the motor. I figured I'd use one of the factory feed holes but my fitting is too small. I've heard of running a line around to the filter location but I don't want to run all that line. If you guys could throw...
I got this resistor pack and it has it's own harness with the injector clips that fit on to the mkiv injectors. Issue is that there is one wire out of each injector clip that is cut and don't know how to wire it up. Here's a picture of one of the injector clips, they all look like this.
I have singled my 1jz and am looking for a downpipe to fit. I have a gt45 turbo and have come up with two laternatives. 1, buy the flange from boostlogic, it's a v-band clamp that goes onto the turbo and has a 2 bolt flange; goes from 4" to 3" on the 2 bolt flange and I would then run a three...
