Hello,
I have a 87' MKIII Supra Turbo and I didn't know it had an anti-theft device until I pulled it out of the garage, parked it in the driveway, and attempted to start it to pull it back in the garage. Unfortunately, the car won't start and the lights are blinking and horn on. I have the...
Hey guys,
Hope all is well,
I am going the Front Facing Intake Manifold (FFIM) route and am probably going to run into fitment issues since the MK3 engine bay is smaller than the SC300 or MK4 Supra engine bays. The brake booster and battery may get in the way in the MK3. I am leaning...
I think they look decent enough without spacers (not to mention it's much safer). The pics above are my blue 87 without spacers. Definitely better than stock steelies lol. But yes, having spacers does look a bit more "flush."
As the title says, I prefer not to use spacers because I think they can be dangerous. I have some 17inch TT 97' MKIV wheels that are 235's in the front and 275's in the rear. I hope a few of you all have done this and driven successfully without rubbing issues (and that includes metal to metal...
^^^ cool. Thank you. At least I know it's possible for now. I won't be getting on it (throttle happy) until I get her professionally tuned with a standalone.
Like the title says,
I'm curious to know if I will need to custom tune my 2JZGE-T immediately after putting it in, if I'm using my 7MGTE electronics and harness. I only plan to boost 5-6psi until I get a thicker headgasket to lower the compression from 10:1 to 8:5:1. I have a boost controller...
are mkiii's good at the road course? I thought they were a bit heavy? Then again, I guess it depends on wether or not the car is classed or not. Does it run or compete well with other cars in it's class?
thanks guys. I am taking my car to get a used 7mgte motor put in next week. I'm nervous and excited. Since I'm using this new motor and tossing the old, I decided to have my mechanic replace the headgasket with a metal headgasket and put in arp head studs. I'm not sure if it really needs...
In all seriousness,
I wonder if I should also replace the rods, pistons, and bearings. I'm a bit of a worry-wart and am probably over-thinking this whole thing. I just want a reliable 300whp 7mgte. I'm assuming headgasket and resurfacing is a must as well as arp head studs. But should I open up...
Hey guys,
I bought my 87' Supra with a 7MGTE that has a BH and rod knock. I'm considering posting up a WTB post here for a somewhat "good condition" 7MGTE motor so I can get my car running soon. I would like to enjoy it for a few years with minimal mods (fmic, exhaust, boost controller)...
I have an updated important question, will the 7mgte electronics work with the stock 2JZ NA headgasket (higher compression than what the 7m has) without a tune? Just to start up and drive..?
