I think you missed the parts where Toyota doesn't keep VIN records of key codes for more than XX years (I've heard a couple different numbers, but it's around 15). At any rate I'd much rather rebuild my lock cylinders anyway to prevent someone else's key from working in my car.

Have you checked all the usual suspects? O2 sensor, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, ignition coil? The next couple things would be fuel pressure regulator and damper. The next two things I would check are the TPS and AFM.
