If I understand what you're asking about, you have nothing to worry about when porting the intake manifold.
The only things it really does is remove turbulence allowing air to move more freely into the engine. For the most part the air coming into the system is already accounted for once it...
^^^ Yup, get a GTE tach or mod yours.
· GTE Fuel Pressure Relay??? I was under the impression they used the same FP relay as the N/A.... Do you mean FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator)?

EDIT: BTW - This took me less than 10 minutes to find and I'm rather busy at work. You owe me 10 minutes.
I want my 10 minutes....
My boss...
Getting both codes at once is unlikely... but, given how quickly and frequently the ECU makes changes to the fuel supply it's not unlikely that the system might over correct for one condition causing the other in a very brief amount of time.
When you disconnected the charcoal canister did you...
Well, the first pic is a "flapper" style AFM, but nothing else they show is. They list it as "toyota compatible" but say nothing about models... there were several AFMs similar to the N/A's AFM that, similarities aside, are incompatible... You'd probably need to email the company for specifics...
It is tied to all the rear lights... so rear side markers yes.
BTW - If all the rear lights are fine, check the bulb sockets for signs of corrosion (that can set off the failure module) otherwise the lamp failure module may be faulty.
So the hazards are flashing and not turning off? Did you turn them on at all? I've got a hazard switch somewhere around here... I'll check something and post back.
Gotcha... Hopefully he had enough foresight to get an adjustable shock sensor and plans to adjust the sensativity to prevent that. (If not he probably does now.) :biglaugh:
If inclined, he could add a second stage to the alarm sys. with a second 555 and a counter. :naughty:
Sensativity isn't his issue, it's the pulse length from the sensor to the factory alarm that's the problem.
There are a few ways to do it, a cmos 555 is easy and reliable.
a) The topic of vacuum tubing has been covered recently. The synopsis: Any kit you buy off ebay or off the shelf from local parts stores *MAY* be complete garbage... or worse, nothing more than colored vinyl hose which deteriorates very quickly when used in an engine bay.
The only vendor I...
Yes, the TPS does have to be calibrated. It's not a matter of it not being calibrated from the factory, it has to be aligned to the signal matches the position of the throttle plate, hence the eliptical mounting holes. It's not difficult.
Here's the TSRM info on how to adjust it...
FYI, Kenwood changed their plug configuration a while ago and I think they may have done it again just recently... it's certainly worth a look though. The change I'm thinking of could just be for the Aux/extension port.
I've gotta say that I love my Kenwood. I've owned a bunch of different brands of decks in my time and the Kenwood is one of the few that I wouldn't trade.... Most of the others were okay, and I'll NEVER buy another Sony deck.
Sorry to hear your deck died Sl1deways... I wouldn't be surprised...
:ttiwwp:
Wow, I finally got to use that one... I'd like to see how it's mounted and wired if you don't mind... Does any know of any reason why this setup might be beneficial? Would less heat help with the longevity of the solenoid? (Not like it's that bad to begin with but still...)
What he means is that the ipod and the car do not share a coupled ground.
Try connecting a thin wire to a good ground point on the chassis.
Now plug headphone jack into the ipod, now most headphone jacks will still have a small ring of exposed metal before the rubber body that tapers into...
