    pcv routing (location of orifice)

I'm pretty sure any hoses that are freely open into the cam cover would require a check valve... I might be missing something. Does the engine run? If so connect a vac guage to the line to the turbo and see if it generates a constant vacuum or not.

writeup: MAFT Pro install for 7M-GE

I gotcha. I don't see why a 2JZ-GTE MAF wouldn't work... but what do they cost? I like the though of it looking more stock. The Ford MAF sounds like an alternative with promise too. I love how versatile this little black box is!

    What needs to move?

Yes. I already mentioned it, but it never hurts to go over it twice... Get and oil cooler and therm bypass.

Finally!! My air filter has arrived!

I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. Burping the system is the only thing I can think of.

    What needs to move?

I would relocate the oil filter. I'm not sure if you *have* to, but it's going to be damned hard to get to once the turbo is in.

Finally!! My air filter has arrived!

Thumb screws aren't a bad idea. I myself would probably go for a hinged setup with one or two clip retainers (like on a trunk/chest, but smaller). I love your setup jimi!

    engine restore additive?

Pretty much everything jdub mentions in the infamous Bi-Tron thread is relevant here. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32678 Does this stuff do anything, yes... does it last? No. Do bad things happen when it breaks down, probably, get the MSDS for it and we'll know.

Why do you love your Supra?

It owes me money... No, seriously. By this time next year I will have more money invested in my car than my marriage.

    I Need Advice

As much as you've got in the car at this point I'd probably keep it if it were me. There's a point where you pass the peak as far as pouring cash into the car goes. The only big concerns I would have at this point is the shape the suspension is in and the condition of the rest of the...

LOL, So my Muffler Fell Off Last Night

Mine got crushed and ripped off last month... It's the new BHG and we're the trendsetters!!!! YEAH! I've got two Borlas to go in my car as resonator and muffler... just no money for the pipe and welding. :(

    What needs to move?

I take it you're referring to the oil cooler return? It's too low and too small: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=418689

    pcv routing (location of orifice)

I'm sorry, I jumped in before knowing what all you were asking. I'm not completely familiar with the PCV setup on the GTE. That said, on the GE the PCV system routes into the TB (a vacuum source) and doesn't have any check valves. The higher the RPM the more vacuum applied to the crankcase. The...

    pcv routing (location of orifice)

The PCV system on the 7M-GE is slightly different from the GTE in that the PCV routes from both cam covers into one pipe (that much is the same with the GTE), and from that one pipe into the throttle body. The GTE's PCV system opens into the intake before the turbo. The TB on the GTE is under...

    What needs to move?

The return dumps back into the pan, or block if you want to pull the engine and drill out the stock return location. Drilling out the stock location is the cleanest, but least used, method. The stock oil return location is behind the oil filter, NOT the blocked off port below the oil filter...

    MAFT-Pro VE Table

I'm planning on digging in, but I'm waiting until I can pickup a wideband. Unfortunately, my Vf isn't reliable (possibly due to the altitude here), so until I can make sure of the effects of the changes I'm not touching a thing. ;) I am kinda surprised at the lack of response to this thread...

    What needs to move?

Personally I like the MAFT Pro, especially for 1/2 N/A-T builds. The built in timing control is a much better option than just throwing GTE electronics in the car given that the two engines still have different compression ratios. I just think it's a good idea to tune the timing advance to suit...

    Wiper fuse short somewhere....

^^^FTW Trust us on this one... don't just try to bandaid this, it's likely to bite you in the ass later. If you don't understand how, think "more wires burning, more wires burning" OR "Wow, I can't believe I've replaced EVERY fuse in this car four times this week" OR (my personal favorite) "my...

    What needs to move?

In all the suggestions I listed there was the assumption you were referring to keeping the GE. There are several ways to handle the electronics. IMHO, the electronics are the biggest part of it. The site I posted (iirc) lists all the mechanical parts you'll need... those are more of a set...

    What needs to move?

Half of what's needed depends on the electrical setup you're planning on running. GE + GTE electronics, GE + Fuel Controller + Injectors, GE + MSD6 + Injectors + Fuel Controller, GE + MAFT Pro + Injectors. So what's your plan? Here's another source of info...
