have a related issue...my front targa bolts will loosen up on their own after a few weeks of driving, doesnt matter how tight i get them. I now keep the targa tool under the stereo for quick access while cruising when i start to hear air coming thorough. Not the safest thing to be reaching over...
Been searching around a little for some side skirts to throw on over the winter. I found a few different ones that look alright, but wanted to get a better idea of what all is involved in the install for these things. I'm sure some are better quality, and have better fitment than others.
For...

That link should help you alot.
This is the one that goes to the accordion hose. It's the idle up for the power steering. Basically increases the RPM's a little when a load is placed on the PS pump as i understand it.
Looks like he has those by looking at his sig...also looks like hes been around since 06 so you would think he knows that fuel cut is there for a reason?
Went ahead and got myself a fusible link at the parts store and made my own jumper wire. When i put 12V to the IG SW terminal in the ECU everything got power like it should. Therefore, thanks alot for saving me from wasting money on a new ECU!
I then took the jumper out and went and looked...
Your odds of finding this are very slim I believe...The few guys that do it right probably don't let their cars go very often. If they do they probably know what they have, and it isn't going to be very cheap to get. If it is decently priced you better be on it quick because it will go fast. All...
^ooh goody..this is going to get even better lol
I actually have the exact same thing in my idle, but I have always just assumed it had something to do with one of these things:
From someone who has been there askign the same question:
If you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing and you go the $200 route, expect to do it over very soon. If nothing else you will constantly be watching the temp gauge, coolant level, and color of exhaust. Chances are your bottom end could...
I don't mind my "coffee can". Mostly because of seeing and hearing the reactions of the people that call it a (coffee can, fart can, etc) after I do a quick pull. Usually something like this: "Whoa dude that thing doesn't sound like the typical ricer coffee can". "Can I have a ride?"
A sincere thank you to the OP and this thread for a much needed lifting spirits laugh. I actually think this may be the first time I have laughedout loud at every single comment in a thread!
Would running a wire from the batt positive to the IGN SW terminal in the ECU be the way to do this? Again thanks for sticking with me i know this is basic stuff I just have never learned it.
Thanks I follow ya... Gotta be IGN SW or maybe the ign sw wire because the IGN fuse has power with a test light. Obviously the ign switch is right behind where you put the key in on the steering column, but I cant find anything on how to test the switch itself. I guess it will be obvious when i...
I did wonder about why i would only get the 4.8 V, but it's because i lack the technical knowledge to know better and since the TSRM says 10-14V I thought it was a possiblity. Can you give me an explaination of what sort of thing "could" cause that low of voltage on that terminal?
Yeah I have a new one on the way to try. Not 100% that he ecu is dead but testing per the tsrm seems to point to it, guess its easy enough to try a new one. Hope that melted wire was the issue so I dont fry the new one. Kinda weird how easy it is to ruin an ecu you would think that there were...
