FRP could be an issue you could always jack the car up have someone in it to mock drive it, probably not too safe and actually monitor your fpr? does it smokes or anything? You could have an issue with your afr, giving you false readings? I would start with the basics get the correct actual fuel...
Yeah i have 3 and know the wire color you are talking about, which on mine i believe are rewired 2 of the 3 are.
Sorry let me edit my last post i just remembered, the extra connector i have is for the egr gas temp sorry not a knock sensor.
But yes i do have 3 knock sensors that are...
IJ's advice is probably one of the easiest ways to to verify, another way would be to ground out each plug wire with a test light (hooked to ground) and slightly pierce the wires be careful to not create a hole this will cause the spark to jump. This takes the load off the selected cylinder due...
I know what you are talking about, I was gonna start this thread also just out curiosity. during my rebuild i found the 3 they are all plugged with an extra plug (po had done the rewire) I am not setting any codes for them but cannot find any info about 3 knock sensors only two same with pics. I...
One thing you do not want to is plug the pcv system. There is a thread on here that states it is not a good idea. neither is putting filters on the valve covers, a catch can is more proper. The accordion tube and tb help the pcv system vent correctly. You need the vacuum to help release pressure...
?????? which front are you talking about? the cylinder order goes 1-2-3-4-5-6 from radiator to firewall. I dont know about what you read but i came across number 6 being the bhg topic, that is the closest to the firewall.
Well i got the car with a supposed bhg but had no signs at all. I drove it with the bad afm and it smoked quite a bit all through out the rpm range more so right after boost.
The oil will change the readings it will bring them up. i think, but could be wrong, that when you do the drop of oil and the compression does not change you may have bad ring(s)
Also the leakdown may be helpful in determining the cause
I had issues prior to the head gasket replace, setting code 31, dying when let off throttle all that is fixed, new afm. This cleared up all of my smoking issues, fuel fouled plugs and drivability.
Today after lettin the engine get up to operating temp setting the timing 10*, and checking all...
i would suggest doing a leak down as well, might kinda help narrow the low compression issue down. Did you try puttin a squirt of oil in each one and do the comp test?
As stated by many users on multiple posts, if it came with it it usually means its there for a reason. Egr, charcoal canister and so on. They would not put cooling lines for these components if they were not necessary.
My cats were plugged from the issue of too much fuel what you can do is pull the exhaust downpipe off and start it or just simply remove the o2 sensor and see how that works. if the car revs up then i would recommend pulling the cats off and further inspecting.
Did you clean the intercooler piping or is the oil residual? And are you sure the oild you seen on the piston wasnt from when you pulled the head or anything like that?
All that you are seeing might be residual from before you had the turbo rebuilt, and the engine re done. If you had a bad...
