I was actually looking on supra sport at the maft pro, and realized i can gain access to almost all of the other components minus the translator and boost solenoid. I imagine i can even take the stock connectors run the wires and maybe find mating end to the unit itself. It says its a piggy back...
Sounds maybe like a cold start injector or the injector time switch, almost like its working somewhat fine in the mornings and continues to work when it doesnt need to? During the day when it takes longer is that after or while the engine still somewhat warm?
That is very helpful that engine bay is damn clean might i add. I am more knowledgeable of old mechanical engines (carburetor v-8) So all the electronic tuning is out of my realm so i am learning. AFC= air flow controller or converter? I see them alot on the net, hks or apexi, are those other...
what mods are necessary on the intake system for this? i can access the map and iat pretty easily, then would need to buy the electronics. how eay are these systems to install? and is there a base setting? would something like that be compatible with stock injectors, turbo and so on until...
Exactly what all is required to convert to speed density or maft pro? or are they the same? I know tuning will be necessary i am asking about hard parts, not trying to thread nap either sorry just know it was mentioned here
Thats thing i guess i need to see which works better when its running, the tb and manifold act different with vacuum they are almost oppisite eachother.
Yeah soon as i get ready to put it all together i will run the lines probably from the bottom up to see how the will route and be clean. will i still use the vsv though? And how necessary is the dampner? I will most likely keep it, how can i tell if it is working properly? any signs of failure...
Yes is should change it should drop down quite a bit, tsrm i believe says with vac it should be 23-32, might wanna check and see. Is there fuel in the vac line? can you feel vac on that line when unplugged? you def have an issue there with that. If the diaphragm inside the reg is bad you will...
i think if you remove the afm it is due to an aftermarket setup, jumping pins 1 and 4 without an afm or other metering device would seem like it would go into a default mode with preset values in the ecu?
If it was possible to due this i would have done it along time ago instead of buying a new...
yeah have homeowners cover it lol. Have you had someone in the car to start it as you watch to see the spark to try and determine where it is coming from? what location of the firewall is it at? I know this is a dumb question but do you have the correct firing order on the coil? 163425?
have...
I was trying to but cant get it to upload i was looking on ebay and found some similar ill post the address of the one that looks most like what i got, hope its not an ebay kit, not sure how well they work but i can always change the reg when i get the funds. here is the link...
The reg, some bulk fuel hose clamps mounting bracket and a few barbed fittings soon as i get ready to install it ill know exactly what ill need, none of the barbed fittings are threaded, almost like it was meant to just be spliced in between? will i need the fuel vsv still?
No there is no egr it was capped by po. Not sure if it is jdm or not any identifying marks that will tell me? Just has the one port, that only has vac on throttle. but i also have the port on the manifold to the boost sensor, which has vacuum at idle and decel .
Well being that the car isnt finished yet and i am out of funds for maft or any other tuner for the time being, i think ill be downshifting more frequent, when out driving. as for now i got the time its snowing here and for the time invested in the car i would prefer not to wreck it.
btw which...
have you checked for any vacuum leaks? the high rev sounds like you pullin in more are possibly. have you checked codes? what fuel psi are running
the sparks and flames almost sound like the timing is way too advanced as well
i kinda figured that, but whats its purpose why would you need to dampen the fuel pressure? And why would people remove it? this is something very new to me so all the info i can get will be appreciated.
What about the fuel psi up vsv? do i still need that or just re route the vacuum line to...
I have not yet replaced the fuel pump it is on the way, just gettin everything in the engine bay finished up first. what does the dampener do exactly? I figured it was the one in the front but wanted to double check as to i hate doing things wrong the first time. Is it necessary to use an...
Damn that sucks. So it is the cps i take it? I have had to pull mine out multiple times. I had mine one tooth back and one tooth forward never had a no start but did have a bad miss, ran on 3 cylinders, and would die after throttle. There is a post on here somewhere, of exactly how it should...
Have you checked all engine grounds? I had a similar problem with a completely different car, none the less tested and checked everything for a day and a half, found out that i had a bad ground, just bad enough that fuel and everything would work but the spark was so weak you could not see it...
