Its a draw not a short i believe. Would think a short to power or short to ground would blow fuse or burn wires. When you are checking with the light hooked up in series between neg terminal and neg wire make sure all your accessories are off. When you were in car did you have the door open...
yeah what is the complaint now? Check all your bat connections, if it aint tight it aint right!!! Check the starter wires. Check for loose grounds they can be a nightmare and have you chasing in the wrong direction.
My post was way late
Dude i dont know what the attitude is about, if you read my post i said its not a big increase in power, and that efans do have cons such as electrical going bad. Did not say i rec one over the other, but i do believe if installed correctly and wired properly an efan is more efficient than stock...
Efans have pros and cons compared to mechanical. Dyno proven to free up extra HP, not a lot mind you but some when installed in place of mech fan. But then again you gotta think about the electronics if something malfunctions that extra HP cost ya a bhg. I think depending on use of vehicle is...
i think the vacuum is dependent on engine tolerances build specs and so on. dont think there really is a spec of what it should be, do know a good well running engine should be around 14+ at idle. would like to know more myself though. Not sure if too much vacuum on decel is a bad thing or not...
So i canceled my order on the dm ic kit. called prior to ordering said it was available now its two weeks out, i had to keep calling them to find out what was up with my order? anyways i am placing an order for the cx racing kit which i believe is the same thing just a little more, gonna have to...
Cajun, what altitude are you at? Is your car an 89+? I was looking in to going maft pro on my car but was told i would have to do the HAC mod because of my altitude at 6600ft? Is that always necessary?
if you are doing the compression test this weekend, then check all your vacuum lines in the mean time, see where and if you are getting oil or something in them.
my car at idle runs about 14 in of vac (vac is measured in inches not psi) just so you dont get confused on that. And i believe when i come off throttle on decel it is around 18-20 then drops back 14 or so.
I good strong engine should be 12 plus iirc. someone please input corrections to this...
OP: might be a dumb question but have you tried using an infrared heat gun to measure the temp at thermostat and such? may have faulty gauge? just a thought
Thats what i figured, and the op stated he did not have any leaks? So that would mean that his gasket may have resealed or never fully unsealed from from loose bolts?
The head should come off for good measure and to be safe, but it sounds like a circulation problem.
Good to know about german...
def do the compression test first, give you and all of us a general idea.
The brake booster thing, I have never heard of, but if the seal on the rear of your master cylinder goes bad it will leak. in between master and booster, inside of car or to the inside of the booster itself. The booster...
