these numbers are "swags". I do believe as well that it is in the tune. you can have an mhg blow out at 300 and a composite not? it all depends in my opinion. proper install and preparations will be the limiting factor.
i personally talked to aaron before ordering mine which i should have soon, he mentioned to me that it is somewhat of a pain but if theres no frustration or fabrication involved on upgrading a supra, then buy something else. Ill take pics when i go to set mine up, and maybe with enough info...
I agree. First thing to do is figure out why it went out like. i have heard of compressor surge being hell on any turbo. I also believe that any rebuilt turbo that correctly balanced and assembled will work as long the installation on the turbo is proper also. You say the feed line was, that...
so is crimping in this case more suitable, than solder unless properly covered? And if the heast shrink will not withstand fuel what kinda danger or issues am i looking at? I might just crimp instead and save the hassle.
Quick question being that you mentioned the intank wiring IJ, i just installed a walbro, is it safe to use the supplied connector and wires mated securely to oe wires? I have it assembled but not in tank yet. what i did was use 3/4 of oe wires, being that they looked to have a good coating on...
not sure if it is relevant, but 89+ did the internal hac sensor correct? and 87-88 was external, not sure if it makes a difference on what you are doing or not.
I know this thread is years old but i am getting into the vf tuning/adjusting soon. I am at 6600ft car is not running right now so i dont know my vf voltage, but if it is at 0v can it be possibly to adjust to 2.5 or what would you rec, being an experienced supra owner? my mods will/are:
57trim...
thanks i am doing my best to get most of my questions answered now than to have to keep starting new threads for every little question i have you know? I imagine ill have more once get it all done or along the upgrade, but ill be sure to to start a build thread for that, even though its all bolt...
Might be dumb but is your t-stat in correct? spring towards engine? kinda odd that it happens at 30 miles, and damn that is a travel for school? Have you tried turning the heater on when its getting hot to see if it cools back down? do the tests mentioned above. also check and make sure rad is...
the vf signal i am unfamiliar with pm on the way.
I plan to stick this one out have no choice already bought all the parts. just wanna make sure that when all is installed the initial start up is close to safe. so all advice is greatly appreciated.
In general just, once you start you cant stop or have problems, or in my particular case? If you mean in general than i know i already have bigger plans for my spare engine, which is def a decreasing bank account
elaborate more on your tuning for me please i have an safc that will be in use as well. When you 69 and 70 you are refering to throttle percent right? So what you are saying is that under normal throttle i should not have to correct the fuel? What about the decel air, is that something that...
cool thanks guys. BTW if you guys that are running bigger injectors and pump with no 12v mod, would you mind pm'ing some tuning advice? I only ask so much about because of having to "tune around" it? kinda throws me off.
correct maybe live and learn was not the correct phrase, but people have done it with good tune and have no issues. If i were to tear the engine out strip it down just to hav e it machined for the mhg i might lose interest on doing the whole thing. Its just something that i dont wanna do on this...
