if it the ecu input sensor i think it might have an issue when at operating temp. Ecu is seeing a default reading either extremely cold or hot, which will possibly cause car to stay in open loop which may be adding too much fuel causing rich condition.
Also ran in to vac leaks that would only...
I am jumping out on a limb here but i do believe the problem is in supporting mods being non existent. Need to get a afpr and bypass j-tube, also are you running the lex afm housing with pump and injectors? Is there any smoke? I dont think a brown plug is fuel fouled. but may be wrong.
When...
+1 on the starter rest period forgot to mention that along with battery charge. Thats the last thing you need to do is burn the starter up and have to replace it after just rebuilding the engine.
please close thread MODS found problem was not tps adjustment, everything in spec. Problem happen to be the adjuster screw on linkage eccentric tightened up holding throttle open
pull efi fuse and crank a few times to get oil psi into system and turbo. and just double check everything to make sure its all secure then start, i prefer to let any fresh rebuild idle for about half hour or so get things seated and coolant moving. then inspect for leaks and such
ok so i have been trying to search on here but it keeps telling me to wait? I just got a code 51 tps. the car runs great with no issues but now when idling the rpm will jump from 1200-1800 or so and just surge. The idle prior was 780. this just happened, i had however noticed it used to do it if...
And the symptoms again? just misses lack of power? low end or top is it worse?what rpm ranges? whats your base timing set at? along with total time? one step colder on the plugs so they are 7s? and you are running stock injectors and afm housing? but bigger tbody and ported manifold? Need to...
Does it smoke ever? where is the coolant going? A bhg if bad is gonna overflow the expansion tank and overheat. chances might be that your turbo maybe leaking coolant internally, pushing it engine slowly causing your misfire. have you pulled plugs? checked compression (for bhg) Are you running...
Ok thats kinda what i was assuming. but whats odd is how it stays til i slow down or stop? could that just be due to fan airflow on highway, or just outside temp off ground? At night it does not do it as bad. Also on these engines how hot is too hot, noticed that the mech gauge sat at 215 while...
I installed my mechanical temp gauge in the location of the csi time switch, behind t-stat, not using the cold start. i am jsut wondering if this area can get an occasional air pocket or something? notice my gauge will creep to 215 then drop off to 195, which is where it normally runs now with...
craigslist even you can find them, all you need to do is download the install manual, but i believe the safc is a universal piggyback that can be wired in to almost anything turbo or non.
First of all forget the head gasket, if its not overheating or losing coolant. You said you are running reg gas? theres your problem there put in atleast 91 octane. and try again. your are more than likely noticing the mis more at idle to fuel grade.
check codes
Also looks like the bsv, on t-stat housing is still hooked up to ported vac? and the other line to evap canister is gone. i would eliminate that line and plug it off, being that to canister is gone, the would create a vac leak under throttle, when sensor heats up and opens.
Ok update. Replaced sensor (warranty part) afrs are more stable in the mid 14s. No codes. tried known working afm and when holding throttle at 2k and above at different points get an idle surge of a few hundred rpm even with known good afm. installed mine on other car and works like new.
What...
Measured vf1-te1 voltage is 1.456-1.445 pretty steady. is that lean or rich? thats at idle, between 2500-3000 it is 2.73 steady no dramatic changes. But now noticed that when holding throttle steady the rpms go up and down, same as the first time it started happening. the hz reading on safc is...
