Jza70 Chassis - How much is too much?

I think that really depends on what you plan to do with it. If you wanna use slicks and launch hard I would say that you want to massage the sub frame as others have done. As far as I know a multi plate clutch and a drive shaft hoop is all you will need to put pretty large TQ to the ground...

    a 1JZ swap site

Great idea. I cannot offer much to help your cause because there WERE great resources 4 years ago when I did my swap. I have to say that a few good connections I made locally (nor cal) really made it easy for me. It might be worth while to list local contacts for people as well as technical...

Breather on IAC? (should it be routed to intake pipe insead?)

that was my initial thought as well...but after a double check of vac lines it seems that valve is just stuck open. Still yet to work on it since i had to go get some spring skiing this weekend.

    Best Sway Bars?

I cannot comment on what is "best" but I will say that the adjustable (3 way) whiteline sway bars that I got from the group buy here years ago are AWESOME. I just got around to installing them a few months ago, and what a difference. I already had whiteline springs and bilstien adjustable (3...

    1jz starting problems

I would test your compression on the cylinder that shows oil on the plug before you go any further. If that comes back ok (155 - 175 depending on temp) then you might start testing your MAP sensor. If you find fuel on the plugs I recommend pulling a vac. line and see if you can get it to lean...

Breather on IAC? (should it be routed to intake pipe insead?)

i have the breather mounted directly to the IAC and my idle is too high (1400 rpm) I am assuming that my IAC is stuck open right now, but I would not be too surprised if that breather was also just letting too much air in? Any thoughts on this? Any one else just run a breather right from the...

its a 1jz so it has a map sensor I was not worried about un metered air, but working my turbo harder than it needed to.

Breather on IAC? (should it be routed to intake pipe insead?)

Hello, I am curious if my IAC can cause a boost leak by having a breather on it rather than being plumbed back into the intake pipe? I assume this would cause a boost leak unless the IAC can get 100% sealed under boost, which I doubt. Any thoughts?

replica bomex aero (shine auto still around?)

Hey folks, I am looking to get some paint on my hooptie, curious if shine auto project is still the place for my turbo A duct / and bomex sides and rear bumper? Any hints on who makes quality aero, not trying to rice here and wiggle down the HW.

keep that small spring and use a boost controller. Remember u can always turn boost up from the WG spring setting but never down. ~scott

what do you think am i running rich or missing something

i backfire when i let off due to having a 3" with no cat, and a BOV vented to atmosphere. I dont think its a big deal as long as ur mileage is decent. ~scott

    Raising the boost :)

walbro installed, and every car is slightly different, If you are going to mess with the airflow signal get a wideband, end of story. ~scott

    Raising the boost :)

only if you have a wideband so u know that your arent leaning it out too much. In my BPU car i ran safcII and with no changes i was 11.5:1 at 14 psi so leaning out would have been bad for my motor. ~scott
