i dont race sti/ evo from dig, but from any type of roll even 2nd gear I was putting lengths on them with BPU, and stock twins with serious oil seal problems.

are you doing a burnout? Save the burn out for drag tires if u are doing one, and like everyone else said id do a compression test, they are so easy on a 1jz, take no more than 1/2 an hour.

if you plan on drifting a 1jz would likely be better suited than a 2jz and also less expensive since they come with the 5 speed and bell housing if u get a clip. I say the 1jz would be better due to its higher rev potential. If you just check out what the D1 guys are driving there are more 1jz...
replace the BOV. As you get used to driving the car it will feel slower even though it isnt. As stated before the recent rise in temp in the bay will also steal some power. I also had the same thing psyche me out a few times even though my car was fine i was lookin for problems.

I had the exact thing happen, my seals were bad from day 1 with my clip. I watched oil consumption and oddly enough I only had to add about half a quart every 3000 miles which was all i drove my car even though i had alot fo smoke at idle. Just be mindful and save your money. 935 has...
ok, well tomorrow ill tackle it with 2jz map and safcII. Ijust was hoping that id only be using the safcII to adjust 80% < throttle with a 2jz map, but i guess that was wishful thinking.

ite, i have safcII and a 2jz map but i just wanted to see whats up with the stock map sensor. Will it idle with just a 2jz map and no adjustments with safcII?
