Wanted to update this thread and say that i found slag from the chia mani that i believe caused my turbo failure. I was not careful enough when inspecting that manifold before i mounted it. Tough way to learn.
I have the old xs power mani and it ever failed. But it is a pita, and clocked my turbo poorly. I am looking for something that is a little easier to work with.
Edit and is not full of turbo destroying slag.

Has anyone run this manifold yet? I am considering giving it a try since i can't find a drew go, and the sp F1 is too much bank.
I am not opposed to a china mani as long as it is good material and has some good reviews. The reason i ask about clocking is my current manifold clocks the tubo all wacky, the manifold has to be removed to remove the turbo, the mounting is a pain in the ass and the wastegate is very hard to...
Hey everyone. I am going to change out my current POS china manifold when I purchase a new turbo and I am hoping for some reviews on the driftmotion modified 1jz manifold. Can any one comment how easy it is to mount, and how well it clocks / mounts the turbo and wastegate? I am planning on...
according to reid I would "need" twin 44mm gates to prevent boost creep with the new "super efficient" 6266...I dunno. how much more efficient can it really be than my old 61? it was fine with a single 38mm.
The Sp manifold does look like it meets my requirements, and i agree for $1200 the...
I got the turbo as a kit from sound performance. The only thing i supplied was the manifold. So hopefully they supplied the correct oil and water lines. I did use the supplied oil restrictor i think they are pretty standard for precision turbos.
Can anyone recommend a 1j t4 mani that is...
I finally got my car to quit breaking up, and was enjoying it at 9 psi when suddenly my motor got loud. long story short, i have pieces of turbine wheel from my PT6176 holding my wastegate open. I have no idea how i blew this turbo, but it has alot of shaft play now, and there are some chips...
their 100 octane is not that crazy expensive, they also have 94, 96, 98, 105 and 110 i believe. much cheaper than "real" race gas. I always get gas there when I do track days and its usually pretty similar to normal pump prices for 91 octane.
i plan on doing a very similar set up, its too bad we are stuck with the 91 octane gas. if you live near sonoma race way (aka sears point, aka infineon) they have loads of choices for high octane gas at their sunoco pump.
how do you like the HX35? any plans to dyno?
