Funny you posted that just now. I got a couple quick pics while I was at lunch. I'll pull the panel off this weekend and snap a couple pics of the mounts.
I like your way for sound quality and my way for less work and stock appearance on 4" style doors. I'll start my own thread later for a...
I was just going by the thread title. Not knocking your work or anything.
I'll throw my pics up when I get a chance (car pooled today). Then we'll at least have 2 different mounting options. Maybe someone who's done it different from either of us can post a 3rd. Let all the n00bs know...
That's a lot of work for 6.5" speakers.
I just installed a set of 6.5" in my 87 and it wasn't nearly that complex. They're just some $40 Pioneer but they're much better than the 4" Optimus the PO had in there. Total cost for the project was $50 including the speakers. I plan on upgrading...
Exactly what peaked my interest about this project. I figured that I have some electronics/programming knowledge, so why not try to learn more about Supras/ECUs and at least have a chance to contribute in the process.
I don't run that size, but here's a quick help:
245/45/18 = 26.7" tire height
245/40/18 = 25.7" tire height
If it were me, I'd take a hard look in the wheel well and see if there's an extra .5" all around the tire. Take into account a bit of suspension travel. You don't want anything rubbing...
Datalogging would be huge for track people. You could easily sell modded ECU's for that (maybe with a core charge), and work an upgrade pack (different daughter board) when you get the rest going.
I can't wait until I get some free time to start learning more.
The question I was asking was about whether or not you plan to produce a product when you're finished researching, and if so if it would be like the mines/techtom/other daughterboards or if you think a complete replacement ECU would be possible now that you've mapped all the inputs.
PM sent. I...
Less than a week from poll to having the engine mounted. Great work ethic.
Subscribed.
It would be sweet if you get the twin CT26 setup working, but if not you could always run NA for now and maybe supercharge it later.
That's it. I'm going to make some free time.
Do you have any of the extra reader PCBs left? If so I'd like to buy one so I can pull my GTE ECU and start working on that.
I 2nd that.
Work on the suspension or get a nice exhaust if the 7MGE you've got now is reliable enough.
If it were me for 2k I'd go:
Rear subframe bushings (a couple different sets are available)
Struts/Springs (be sure to get new upper mounts)
Sway Bars
Cat-Back Exhaust (3" to get ready for...
The signals and the headlights are controlled by different switches.

ed: 84329 is the turn signal, 84110 is the headlight :de
It could be a couple different things, but I'd check the wiring for the stalk first.
If you had taken the time to actually read:
IE, if anyone reading this is that inexperienced I figured they'd be on SF. (either that or natural selection will take over eventually anyway)
The OP was asking a simple question and I replied with a simple answer to start, got flac for it, and...
Upper arms(whole arm with bushings):
48630-14010 $176 left
48610-14010 $201 right
Bushing:
48632-14010 $24 x 4 = $96
That's not too bad for OEM bushings. You do get what you pay for and don't want to skimp.

Final update:
Ordered a new sensor and 2 plugs from Toyota. Sure I paid way too much, but I can have the peace of mind that it's not a 15+ yo halfway worn out plug that I'll have to replace again next month.
After replacing the rear (PITA) plug and rewiring it again (with 2 wire stranded core...

Only 86.5 specific one I could find on short notice.
Mentions using the Red/Black and Red/Green. I'd say running the White/Green somehow it's shorting out.
