The HKS unit had no separate module. It was wired into the control module under passenger side kick panel. As far as price it would depend on what you wanted and what someone was willing to pay. Keep in mind that it is not an item as far as I know that can still be purchased.
If $150 seems...
Gene thanks for the reply. Jeff thanks for looking into this. As I was not the original owner I can not say what was done to make the shoes go down to near metal, I realize the material is not thick. I only use it when parked, not to drift, or slide ^^
As far as the miles Poodles I hear you. Keep in mind however that I was not the original owner, so my 130,000 means little as I have no idea if * Someone * got stupid with it.
I am glad that it only took me about 44 years of wrenching and healing to realize that stupid hurts.
Poodles, Advance sells a set for $100.00 NAPA has a set for $39.00. OF course these are all for the Cressida. Reason for the post.
Even with my jobber discount at NAPA the price surprised me to say the least. But, if Jeff knows I would tend to agree with you.
I did look at rotors also...
Agree on buying and trying... Jeff how were you able to get the part numbers for the Cressida ? Champion showed both ( Supra and Cressida ) but neither had the part #'s..
Well I wish they were all useless machines, but I do agree with the reason he is trying to send a strong message. We have all seen worse ends for a Supra, be it crushed into a cube etc...
Well after 130,000 miles it is time to do the rear parking brake shoes. I have done the usual look at all other suppliers other than OEM and found nothing.
Has anyone tried or has anyone used the Cressida rear parking brake shoes ? When viewing Champion Toyotas parts online, the Supra and...
When parking with a standard tranny it is best you put it in reverse. The thinking is not to difficult here. The lowest gear reduction is Reverse, just try going as fast in reverse as you can in first gear ^^
I plan on replacing my 126,000 mile stock shocks here soon. I had planned on the Eibach springs with the Tokico shock. If their reliability is suspect, I take it that the stock shock is as good or better and more reliable ??
I recently had and fixed this problem. I originally tried the grease on spring method, no good. I then purchased a can of CRC white lithium grease and sprayed everything I could, ( What a damn mess).
Even with all this lubricant smeared all over it it still creaked like a damn old rocking...
FreeMoney...... Check your turn signal flasher first. If you did the swap you also installed a clutch pedal, as tight as it is down there chances are you may have bumped it lose^^
CRE Good to see that your already looking at possible new alternatives to these guides. To keep our Supras on the road this type of forward thinking is imperative.
I hope parts as a whole remain available, however I as most all of you are seeing items disappear from Dealerships. NAPA has...
I put way too many hours into hand polishing these. I often flirt with an upgrade but the time invested usually keeps me from spending any money in this area.
As JetJock said, however if you run those 2 wires through firewall to lower neutral start switch on clutch pedal, you will also have your cruise.
This is assuming you were swapping a 5 speed into an auto chassis. If you simply jumper the wires the ECM thinks the car is in P or N at all...
