Odd, and here I thought that the wring harness was setup for the duper monitor even if it wasn't installed at factory.
I need to take a look at mine and see as I have already installed it into gauge cluster.
I have followed your thread and wish you well. Don't feel to bad on the time frame. I am just now completing a build that I started in 1998.
Good Luck and Get Well

Hi
I am looking to buy the 7MGE Y pipe for PCV line that sits on top of valve covers. If anyone has one sitting around, or knows where to get one.
I also would like any and all input on where to buy the hose for the catch can I will be installing. Is silicone ok int this application ...
Supra 6
here is the link again. I have replaced both themast and the cable. If you like the idea of not having it protrude all the time its this way or eBay or the salvage yard.
Both items run around $41.00. Click on buy parts. Then fill out the model etc. in Body Parts. Then electrical...
Hi Supra6
The mast alone is a little over $20.00 I provided a link to Champion Totota

Many thanks to all that responded ! I plan to use bigaarrrons advice and line up the driveshaft in accordance to the tsrm. I will also use my refrence marks from the rear shaft to splined flange. Keeping those marks aligned and making sure all the yokes are in phase. Im guessing I have a 50/50...

Is this an old clutch or a new install ? It sounds to me like the clutch is not disengaging properly. If it did, you would have no grinding while at a stop and shifting thru the gears.
Thanks bigaaron and all,
A few questions bigaarron on your response. It would certainly make the job easier if in fact I have nothing to worry about. I did take the driveshaft apart in the middle to replace the carrier bearing. The flange I have pictured slides onto the rear end of the...
If it isn't important, then why does the Toyota Workshop Manual tell you to mark it prior to disassembly ? I admit, I missed the second marking. Thus the reason for my post.
Anyone else have any ideas here ?
Thanks

Ok, I had a senior moment. While replacing the carrier bearing on the drive shaft I forgot one step. I did mark the rear shaft to the first, but forgot to mark the splined hub to the front shaft.
While hoping that a previous owner somewhere down the line had done it right I found 2 marks on...
Hi Franco
1) If your currently using the Supra as a DD, perhaps consider picking up a good used Corolla, or similar. Doing the work yourself in many ways needs to be a labor of love for the car. Not something you need to be pressed on time wise, and certainly not money wise. A Supra has a...
Yes indeed it has. Many contributing factors, 2 sons in college to name 2.:1zhelp:
But concerning this swap, im torn between R&R of body harness and simply splicing wires where needed on the exsiting Automatic body harness ^^
Thanks for the fast reply ^^
Both cars are 87's and yellow plug ECU's.
My question is, should I swap the body wiring harness, and use the 5 speed ecu .
OR
Use the Auto ECU and body wiring harness and cut and splice the clutch sensor, and reverse lights ?
Hi All,
After 9 years on jack stands my Supra is now financially and time wise ready to be completed. I have purchased a donor 87 turbo 5 speed to do the conversion. Engine is rebuilt, top to bottom.
My plan is to use the 5 speed out of the donor car, my questions after an exhaustive...
Hi All
I am in the midst of an engine rebuild and 5 speed swap. Hope to be on the road by May, wish me luck. My 87 7MGTE has been on jackstands since 1999, I have just now found the time and money needed to get her up and running again.
