Welcome aboard !! Non interference. Many things to look for and after ^^ Read and search. When your stumped search some more and then call out for help in a well worded post.
I am 50/50 on being there also( If all are wlecome) Brother lives in Chester so I have a place to sleep. Still need to get a lot done though. Engine and Tranny done, and waiting to be tilted in. I may have to leave my exterior mods for the winter.
What they said ^^
A Supra in more ways than one is a car worth holding onto. Take your time, do it yourself, and learn along the way. You and your Supra will get real close, believe me ^^
Good Luck !!
Heat I am sure many will ask if during your rebuild you did appropriate head, and block work, and installed a metal head gasket with correct torque specs.
As for max boost I am not certain as I prefer to stay on the lame end, I would prefer my rebuild lasts a bit more than 10K ^^

I just had a Supra transported from Ohio to Pa. One, it isn't cheap^ Only one company out of nearly ten I tried to work with impressed me with good communication and a Fair price. I will add their link.

On a side note::
How long would it take a good AC tech to properly vac the system ? Is this a realistic request from a shop ??
Found this unit on eBay for $140 shipped, FJC 2.5 CFM 2 Stage R12 / R134 A/C Vacuum Pump 6908. This do the trick ?
jetjock you posted as I was replying to Nick and Figgie
. Runway 24 was the strip I used when I got my Private, ( Ebensburg Pa ) I was the 7th of 9 children required to do so by our Dad. He was an instructor, before he passed away many years ago he had logged over 24,000 hrs ^^ Instrument and...
Thank you both for the speedy reply.
Figgie my concern with the equipment purchase is as you said, not strong enough. Since I hope to only do this 2 or 3 more times (who really knows ), I am trying to balance money invested, to return on investment. Age old dilemma when you never take a car...
I have done a diligent job of searching each thread for information on this topic. I have learned enough to be dangerous. I am near the end of my 9 year erbuild on a 1987 7Mgte.
My original rebuild was done in 1995. Once completed I took it to have the AC recharged and the tech told me the...

I installed one in the process of my rebuild. 87 7MGTE. Everything you need to install it is right there under the dash. Large white plug for computer, and of course it easily installs into the stock clock area on Inst Panel.
It mounts to the drivers side or left of the brake...
Gaboon good show on the install and the marathon process !! I recently installed a Fidanza also. I had the same tight fit, but did some reading. Due to the expanxion rate difference between Aluminum and cast iron the Fidanza is made with a tight tolerance there. I used a heat gun to slowly...
Thanks Jdub. Burried within a fire thread was a suggestion from jetjock that 2,5 lb was good also. Appreciate your reply and consider this a question answered post ^^
Hi all,
What size H3R Fire Extinguisher would be prudent for electrical or engine fires ? I am looking at a 1 lb or 2.5 lb as choices. No sense in having one though if their isn't a reasonable chance you could eliminate the fire.
Thanks to all...
If I were you, and 17 again, I would simply fix the BHG on the NA for now. It doesn't sound like you would have the $$ or the time right now to do the 7MGE to 7MGTE swap. With any project you will run into known and unknown costs, if you need wheels pronto fix the BHG.
Keep the turbo around...
If you pulled the ECT, and manually made it shift, then wouldn't you think you found the problem ? Specifically the ECT Control unit. Unless I read your OP wrong ^^

A thought on your AEM tuning. Would it not be possible for any tuner to do this from a long distance? Let me explain. A laptop with a wireless connection or an air card, and a subscription to MY PC .com. Give the tuner your MYPC.COM info and he could then read everything on the laptop...
