I forgot how to tune the tps. Get it to deflect?

Chris Follow the above advice, but, go and buy a needle multimeter. They can be had at wally world for $9 to $11...

    removing an engine

Remember to install a pilot bearing ^^ It goes faster after your first, second and third r&r. Be safe not fast. It is no fun having to remove after replacing, not that I have done it but have seen others put a clutch disc in backwards etc.. I can now remove in 1 to 2 hrs, depending on...

Well if your selling or buying, condition and mods would make a big difference in the price ^^

cannot press down the clutch :(

Sweet If in fact the hydraulic part of the system is working as you have said I would do the following. 1) Remove inspection cover on slave master side of bell housing. 2)With a helper applying pressure on clutch pedal , watch to see if the slave piston engages the clutch fork. 3) If it...

    Volt Gauge Reading

Thanks, I have the multimeter. will do an at battery check w/car running. My original post was not as specific as I needed to be. Better question. Do those that have a volt gauge installed get about the same readings ? No lights on, no drain. Has not happened again in about a month. I...

    Volt Gauge Reading

Hi All. I have recently replaced a DieHard Platinum battery after only 3 months of use. Went out the other day and it was dead, put a 2amp charge on it for 24 hrs and still dead. I took it to Sears for a replacement. Since it has a full replacement 4 year warranty I did not think...

    Suspension Gurus Chime in..Please

Thanks for the input Satan and ms07s. I don't really care for the 4x4 look, that being said, at 53 I also do like a decent ride. How much of a trade off is it to go with the Eibach Sports ?

    Suspension Gurus Chime in..Please

Thanks for the input and question Poodles. It is an 87 model year 7MGTE. The lowering seems to be a part of the Eibach Sport package, as I know you are aware. I did not think that 1.5 to 1 inch was that dramatic of a drop. However, if you or anyone else has a better idea on springs based on...

    Suspension Gurus Chime in..Please

Thanks Gaboon What I am referring to in the first sentence is what I have gathered from some posts, some coming from mods. Unless I totally misread their comments. Bilsteins are TEMS compatible ?? As I said I want to keep the TEMS in place. Thanks again for the response.....

    Suspension Gurus Chime in..Please

Hi All It seems many of you are not real thrilled with the Eibach and Illumina 2 setup. I would like a (mild) drop, so the 1 inch provided by the Eibach Sports seems like enough. I plan on using the car for DD and trips. I like the car to ride smooth like a GT car can, and should. I also...

    oil catch can condensing water?

j3pc I would say that the crankshaft and other moving parts serve as the "shake" part of the Milkshake. If left to sit in a container the coolant will separate from the oil. So you are correct, there would not be a "Milkshake" look inside the CC, just some of the ingredients. My bad, I...

    oil catch can condensing water?

Shaeff Thanks in large part to your advice. Many Thanks Lagged I don't know if your becoming an alarmist, but it doesn't take much to sound the horn of a BHG with our Supras. That being said I would submit that if you purchase a well designed CC you are in fact going to see some...

    oil catch can condensing water?

Clip I used a Mckinney Racing CC. I am getting the same, water, or condensation, after a rebuild. I do not know if it is the norm, but I believe it is. Until we get some blowby many miles down the road I hope, I would think thats all we will see in there.

    Rear Hatch weatherstripping???

JG That squeaking more often than not comes from the 4 cushions, one on each side of the hatch an one on each side of the body. They are more than likely shot. If they are still in place try some lubricant on them, silicone, or the like.
