Jay: There's a plug down by the starter that has the wiring for the Auto Neutral Safty Switch that in Manual car has a bypass plug check this as mine gave me problems with corroded wires and dud insulation!
Either use a slide hammer or some Grease and something the same diameter as the hole!
Push the grease in then the rod, tap with a hammer then put some more grease in and repeat!
MrSupra: understood fully on the $$$ issue! ;)
I stopped counting a long time ago and have gotten to the point that I will spend what it takes to finish the job!
Part of why I pushed for a rebuild section was to have detailed builds going on so people could see and understand what it takes...
Trucker: It's pretty well accepted that the Mk4 guys in general think they're elite ;) (there are exceptions to the rule)
Nothing better than coming across one on the road and making them look foolish with a lowly Mk3!
Ran a 2.5" on my car when it was NA and it took me ages to find a combination of mufflers that worked and didn't drone at highway speeds!
Adding a Turbo knocks off a LOT of the higher frequency sounds as they're a pretty good muffler on their own!
Racer: Hence my "needs to vent" comment and as long as it remains as that no probs!
If it escalates into a flame war or a JawsGear slamming session without them being here to defend themselves I'll lock it down ok!
I can understand and see that Racer needs to vent but I can see this getting out of hand if let run this course!
Please keep it civil or it'll be locked as nothing constructive is being added after the first page of posts.
