    I have my Turbine housing and Dump pipe Ceramic coated and after a run on a hot shutdown the Cam Cover is hotter then the Header and Blankie! :)

    Dave: Makes sense! Never dyno'd a stock or near stock GTE so it just seemed to take a loooooong time to get to the limiter! ;)

    I'm standing on one foot ;)! But seriously it costs very little and is just good practice when building a motor! It won't add HP but it will give returns in longer engine life and smoother running!

    Tig: Also make sure to chamfer and deburr any and all machined surfaces as this is how these cracks start!

    Tq and HP numbers intersect at 5252 rpm as one is just a calculation based on the other.

    The gasket thickness will change the distance from drive pully to driven so does affect the timing. To degree my Cams in using a 3mm MHG I needed to set them to 4 degrees retarded but with a 2mm MHG they end up around 1 degree.
