Started using a ratio box way back when I swapped in a Tremec TKO but kept it in place when I went Auto as I was running 4.11:1 diff gears in the 9".
Now I've gone 3.5:1 the Ratio box will get new gears and I'll have an accurate speedo again ;)
(I have wheelspeed sensors on all 4 wheels and...
Interesting sounds like someone got the phasing on the Helical gear a little off during production.
Would like to hear from anyone else using these cams to see if this is just an isolated case.
If needs be you can pull the CPS apart and rephase the Reluctors to suit getting your full range...

Point in case here is the neck looks like it's been brazed on as well, if you were to have the fitting welded the heat required would be enough to make the neck fall off!

You didn't drop the sensor at anytime did you?
Most WB's will default to 14.8/15 when they don't get the correct signal or the Sensor is fouled.
I ran my T1 at 500+ for quite awhile and the only failure it ever suffered was a dead pinion bearing from sustained high speed starvation. (killed a normal LSD this way as well)

I still believe it's just all the huge cutouts and undressed sharp edges that cause stress risers and a place for cracks to begin.
A nicely dressed case with a reinforcement ring and cryo treated would improve things 50%.

Once the Shaft is bolted to the Diff it's NOT moving front/rear.......
Side to side and Up/down is another matter as AJ pointed out.
You could possibly press fit a steel drum girdle over the Torsen depending on clearence that would prevent the case expanding and splitting under power.
It fails where the case is thinnest at the helical gear cutouts to allow the Ring gear to be fitted, in effect it's a "cut along dotted...
