    sorry meant to respond to this too. the reason why is the design. they use a male and female pin for the connectors. the female side over time loosens up and makes intermittent connection or loss thereof from the cps to the ecu. no spark signal = dead

    i agree the cps wiring. i had a lot of problems w/ this and other 7m's. best bet is cut off the clip and solder the leads together. that will fix it right up. i pm'd you my number a couple weeks ago. give me a call, id be glad to help you out w/ it.

    few things. be careful doing a brake torque for very long. the tranny fluid gets really hot quick. aside from the burnout, does the car feel down on power? any luck w/ the line pressure cable adjustment? did you check the fluid in the diff? is it full? does it smell burnt...

    yep they are the same part. the last digits are different since they are "updated" from being newer. id say its a good chance the lex was bad from sitting out in the weather at the boneyard. glad you got it sorted. the a/f must have been a lot worse than i thought you were saying.

    yes the auto ecu will work for a 5sp. you just cant use the 5sp ecu for an auto. nothing you need to do, just plug and go.

    yep i agree. it works a lot better running it to the intake tube instead of road draft. the rings should have seated by now. 15psi should have taken care of that. if not run 30psi just to be sure ;)

    i agree with matt. it really depends on how much you want to pay. g-force makes some nice ones at a decent price. or if you want big dog you can spring for some schroth. also be advised the belts are only certified for 2yrs then need to be replaced.

    sure thing. well, you could but its a lot more involved. you would have to cut off the hard line feed from the tank and run a compression fitting to mate to a -6.

    yo nick- 3.2" major sounds like a GT-S. is the minor around 2.7"? the 3.1" is right for a Q trim, so it sounds like you do have an S. by the way, they do make a G trim. often found on the big pt101 turbos. 5" major haha.
