realize that any techtom rommed ECU could have any sort of program in it. there wasn't a "normal" tune off the shelf- you typically told them your setup and they altered the ECU as they saw fit....so it's a crap shoot.
yes, the MAFT pro can do timing control now. drop me a line when you're...
heh. a 1/4m race should be fairly quick....
seriously, while estimating is all good and well, the best thing to do is go find out. realize that drag racing isn't nearly as easy as it seems to be....have fun and learn!
back of manifold- like the BACK of the car....the rear-facing side... the only side with a straight nipple facing the firewall....:3d_frown:
no, you can't use any of the nipples on the TB (you have a JDM TB). they're for emissions and have to do w/part throttle, etc.
sweet. i'll have to come check it out sometime....heck, drive that oil spewing piece of junk out to my "shop" on saturday....i'll prob be there all day trying to replumb the stupid thing.
i hear ya on the 1UZ thing. if i had my head on straight years ago i would have done just that. too bad...
Didn't check all the pages to see if this was already there, but the clutch master cyl (banjo line connection, line on inboard side) and brake master cyl changed (reservoir mounting boss spacing different) in '91.
if you're keeping the cutout, just make sure everything up to the cutout is 3"+....after the cutout, who cares? i used to run a 3" DP + cutout, then a stock cat-back on my old DD....total stealth/quiet, max power.
yeah, that is probably a safe bet....too bad they have lost some face in my book....
so is your ride going to be up any time soon? i'm nearing completion of mine....
heh. you can do whatever you like, but the facts of electric grounding, etc. still remain (i do automotive electrical/Rf testing for a living...).
some useful info here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground_loop_(electricity)
nope, didn't care enough. i got that ECU for like $50 because i wanted to show everyone what was really going on.....i then sold it on ebay for like $400.
just a reminder to NOT connect the shield to gnd @ both ends. in doing so you are creating a possible ground loop, making for more potential problems....
