This won't make the turbo glow red. A broken o2 sensor is doubtful to be the culprit of making the manifold run that hot.

Yes. A boost leak will throw fuel (mostly unburnt) into the ehxaust system. When the exhaust system becomes hot enough, it ignites the unburnt fuel. You may think you are boosting "fine" but its not likely. Also, check ignition timing and cam timing.

Check to make sure you jump the diagnostic terminals while doing this.

Giant boost leak or cam/ignition timing.

At worst have me build you a t3-t4 adaptor or build one yourself if youre worried about it hitting the manifold.
