Setting up AIM MXL Pista dash to work with AEM EMS

well remember. The sensor reads Absolute pressure (Manifold Absolute Pressure). THE AEM is then translating that to what you see -14.97psig - 0psig - 30 psig. In the end the AEM has to be sending either a voltage signal (0v-5v) or the number it is translating but not both. I read though most...

    ABS Swap

Swap? Not a swap. It is an upgrade. Only reason I know about it is that I hover in the Bimmerforums from my old Tec3 days :) Lots of those racers "upgrade" the breaks in thier cars to the system I mentioned (not the new one!). The E46 unit is not as advanced as the Bosch unit. It works though!

    ABS Swap

Of course if you are feeling REALLY giddy. You can always update the ABS system to a true 4 channel system. For instance alot of racers use the BMW E46 M3 based ABS system. Cost is about $3000 after it is all said and done. But for a full standalone. Well Bosch as always, is leading the...

    Digital Power Distribution

Digital Power distribution is the latest technology to come out of the racing world. Digital power distribution replaces all the mechanical relays and fuses with one neat little package. For the normal street car this is not to big a deal, But in the race car were ounces are accounted for...

Setting up AIM MXL Pista dash to work with AEM EMS

Well I think I see your issue in the pressure section. Remember that 14.97 psi is 1 atmposphere of pressure at sea level. The issue though is that PSI is not an absolute value but usually used as a gauge value which means that zero on the gauge is not really zero but instead is the 1...

Setting up AIM MXL Pista dash to work with AEM EMS

quick question the boost parameter.. What are you displaying? Kpa? PSI? mm/HG? The thing about PSI is that is does not have a "negative" per say. That is why most guages read PSI for positive boost and then go in mm/Hg when reading a vacuum. As for your Lambda reading. What are you using...

    What Size H3R Extinguisher ?

AFFF based exinguisher. It will keep the fire out regardless if it is fuel, electrical etc. Cost is higher but it is as always. A system. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=FIRESYSAFFF and it is not for portability. It is for permanent install. Used in racing ;)

    obx underdrive

You forgot that it meets and exceed SFI 18.1 specification. Extremly critical if you are drag racing or doing SCCA.

Installed "bolt on" lambo doors. Pics!

the hinges look to be stainless 304. If that is the case. My guess that each weigh in at probably around 40 lbs. That guess is based on thickness (my guess, about 1/4") and the total area. So 80 lbs addition. Looks good though. <-- And here I am comparing weights of wires to save some ;) lol

DC Sport 8 piston brakes, any good?

Ahh TÜV showing up again. Yes, The california folks bitch and moan. They are lucky that the German TÜV is not the one overseeing them or half the car would be destroyed for non-compliance! But there is also a reason. Unlike us and prior to the 90 mph speed limit on the autobahn...

For A/C wizards, A/C system turns on/off/on/off after few minutes

Umm are you 100% sure that your system is not overpressurized? Our cars have TWO switches. An underpressure and an overpressure switch. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=AC&P=10

Some of the companies that make parts for MKIII and Suprasport.

I have to agree with you. The issue with the mfg (not the vendor) is that it seems like they are caring less and less. Unlike the ATI, Pauters, Ross of the world that happen to supply parts to the MKIII Supra. Our cars do not have a company/companies with that type of background that is...
