hmm,
you know there is this beautiful invention that just came out. It is called a telephone. You press the digits in a certain sequence and you are able to talk with someone, real time. Perhaps this "UPS" has a number which you can call?
:icon_evil
actually
unless teflon is an extremly great conductor, it will affect the reading.
Remember the temprature sender has only one connection so it relies on the engine ground to be the - side of the circuit. Anything impeding that flow will cause issues with overall resistivity.
btw the water temprature sensor is very accurate as it is almost linear in output (negative Coefficent) with the temprature.

The gauge on the otherhand is not.
nope!
Granted the AFM is already messed up in the OPS situation, BUT putting anything into the "vortex reader" won't fix it. As a matter of fact it will break it more.
The mirror is a tiny piece of foil. It is so delicate that any solvent, even water, will make it stick and really end up...
I have been catching myself reading lots of the America engine magazines for tid bits on engine builds. Like the one thing of degreeing cams, a art that is just about lost in the new gen but it is sooooo helpful.
btw to put this thread on track after Mike's exceptional sales pitch!
This is what "Ethos" is.

Everytime gas take a spike, we have all this new gadgets, doodads, magic potions to help the pump.
As with any product, there will always be an MSDS associated...
I would definelty do that. It should "QUIET" down the mis-fire by alot. Just for the sake of good torubleshooting, run the ground directly to the battery if you can. That way the coil packs have a nice, clean, healthy ground to send all that energy through :)
It depends.
from a scientific point of view. The extra HC will drop the cylinder temps just slightly. Also depending how well the fuel is being atomized prior to it going into the cylinder, affects the lambda you will run.
New techniques are exherting higher and higher fuel pressures...
BTW
HPF stillsells for Supra but they are no longer very active in them. I was the one that actually pointed the finger on them as I did not see any activity since february.
Odd thing is that I see them post daily on the bimmer forums so I know they are still around, focusing on BMW's now.
<-- is getting more dumber by the minute! :o
(yes you read right more dumber, poking the grammer nazi's out!! :P)
Hey Ian, how is the new wiring coming along? :)
