Using an 84mm bore mhg on an 85mm bore?

I brougt this one back. There is the thread about new shortblock numbers. One was checked and the bore spacing is at least 2mm bigger on the upgraded 7M block. I just wanted to point out I was wrong, and that is why it doesn't look overbored.

Why do people add an "i" to Gracer?

Why did the internet create the MK3 for a first gen Supra, the MA70, yet call the MK3 Corolla the AE86? Or whatever generation the AE86 is.

The cable has a spec for adjustment too. And BTW, a petal is something that a flower or plant has. Your car has a pedal.

    fully built heads

You are better off having it modified by a reputable shop. As a matter of fact, I contacted Air Flow research the other day to see if they do heads, and they no longer do. They only sell their own now.

    EGR valve ?

It can be a suspect, but it isn't guilty. A coolant mixture will only absorb heat from the engine, not transfer more. And EGR lowers the chance of detonation, it doesn't increase. Keep in mind also, that when the computer gives the EGR command, the tables are different. That is why you need...

Toyota replaced head gasket, should I be concerned?

Yep. All franchises have region they belong too. On a tangent, I did a 4Runner shortblock. This was 1999, and the 4Runner was a '92. It sent the rod through the block. Toyota said we could install a new shortblock, with out charging the customer.

    stock shock question..

You could, but why? If you want it lower, get a set of springs and shocks lowered to match. I like TEMS, as the way it was designed.

Toyota replaced head gasket, should I be concerned?

This is how knowledge usually starts. You have to figure it out for yourself. You can be told and told...but you have to find out yourself. A local Toyota employee, not dealership, authorized that shortblock replacement. That is done when the product is deemed defective from the start...

Toyota replaced head gasket, should I be concerned?

I believe you that they did the work. And old people in my proffessional experience are the most neglegent of all. The kids are the first ones to come in because they think something is wrong. I wish my car had 60K on it. I would buy it too.

Can a bad turbo cause BHG symptoms?

Hydrocarbon fuel. Don't be confused by black partially burned fuel, or catalytic converted partially burned fuel.

Toyota replaced head gasket, should I be concerned?

The orgingal did not "blow" at 35k miles. Losing the headgasket is the symptom of another problem. And base on how quickly that person destroyed the engine, neglect is a serios problem for the owner. New shortblocks are not installed for "rod knock" reasons. They are installed because of...

    No starter signal?

You could certainly have a broken wire(s). Just make sure you are on the correct wires when testing continuity. A better way is to check voltage at the source, and its component. Then you know if the wire is broke, or just has high resistance. The EWD locates the relays, the pins in the...

    lots of problems

That could be any number of things. Make sure the cables are in good shape. If you don't know have somebody that does check. Autozone isn't the place for that. After the car is running, you can do an output test of your alternator. Any decent shop can do this, at minimal cost. You may or...

    7M assembly tips.

How good is sonic cleaning? The machine shop we used at work hot tanked. And for the record, they never put out a bad product as far as I know. In other words, I trust them very much, as did our shop foreman.

    Code 22 A headscratcher.

What do you think? Manufactures don't put things on cars because it might help, but because it is needed. Sometimes it is redundant, but but improves the car. Put the new knock sensor in.
