If you removed the PCV, sludge will build up quickly. And yes, that sludge will ruin a turbocharger quicker than the engine bearings. But they aren't far behind.

As long as you realize the most cost effective way, and the best way have nothing in common.
Most cost effective is to shim the wastegate, and strap on a low dollar nitrous kit, and free up the exhaust.

There are two wires on the starter. A big one and a little one. Which are you refering to, and what is both of their conditions. If your big wire was loose, you could have some burned fuses as of now.

The big clunk is the solenoid on the starter engaging the pinion drive. But your starter motor is not creating its field current. That would be my guess. I have seen it before.
Does the clunk come from under the intake manifold?
Go to the parts counter at Toyota and ask him. He might tell you Toyota, and that it isn't available to you. Ask Jeff Lange, I think he said he is sitting behind the counter.
