Is it ok/safe to bed new pads/rotors in the rain?

Asbestos has been outlawed for brake pads/shoes in the US for many years. Gaboon - Drive your brand new brake pads and rotors in the rain if you wish. It's something I will not do until I have a chance to bed them in. I don't want to risk glazing the pads...that will affect stopping power...

Hard to start, leaks gas like crazy!

That should be alright to do. Running a motor with a fuel leak though is asking for a weenie roast ;)

Hard to start, leaks gas like crazy!

There's a pair of copper crush washers on each side of the banjo fittings...you should not re-use these. I would check to make sure they are there and make sure the bolts are tight as previously suggested. Do NOT run the car till you do!

    1mile to a gallon

Just to expand on the link Justin posted. We tried to help you last time, but you wanted us to "make things easy". Based on your statement above (from your last thread), you have some nerve.

Whats the difference with Arps ?

In other words, you are lazy and want the answer handed to you vs making up your own mind. The ARP site gives you a technical answer to the question. This is incorrect. Studs do not clamp tighter, they clamp more evenly with a more uniform torque. They do not have the torsional issues...

    Ceramic Coating Services?

Pete - I still do this, but the turn around times have been excessive due to working on time critical commercial jobs. I sent you a PM. In any case, if you get the exhaust parts done, make very sure the coating is rated at 2000 deg F...otherwise you will get flaking, cracks, etc. The...

    Oil change interval?

Red - since you're storing the car, I would change the oil just prior to storage with the oil of your choice...WalMart Syntech and filter is fine. Run it a few miles to get the new oil through the motor and store it. When you're ready to take it out, change the oil with a good syn oil and a...

Using flourescent oil dye with synthetic oil

Dye is an excellent way to find a leak and will not harm your motor. You can leave it in there till the next change.

Installing a Full Flow, Thermostat Controlled Oil Cooler & Remote Filter

I use teflon tape on oil NPT fittings...you can use teflon paste too, but it's messy. Don't use thread sealer on the AN side of the fitting.

    Cylinder Head /Block

    i) Yes...the intake cam is different. You can use the NA cams, but it will shift power to the left (lower end) or just swap the turbo cams in. ii) Usually pretty good, but a overheat can anneal the aluminum making it soft. I would not spend a cent on the head until it's hardness tested. I...

    copper head gasket or no?

Copper MHGs require the block to be O-ringed...very difficult (if not impossible) to do on a 7M due to the small space between cylinders. You do not ever want to use a spray sealer on ANY make of MHG. Zum has it...I wrote the link he posted. Suggest you read it DegreE ;)
