Pretty sure he didn't pull the tranny to drain/fill the TC ;)
All you have to do is disconnect the tranny line to the cooler and run the car while you pour ATF in the dipstick tube (after you drain the pan and fill of course)...complete replacement of fluid. In fact, I'm doing this tomorrow...
Reading comphrension ;)
A fluid change will not do squat if the line pressure up bell crank or cable inside is binding.
He didn't mention a new TC...did say he did a complete fill though.
Question here...have you dropped the pan?
I did miss him checking codes.
You could start by reading the TSRM ;)

It's called a "throttle cable" or referred to as "throttle pressure"...what it really does is increase hydraulic line pressure as a function of physical throttle position through the...
Actually...the HKS stopper is the ultimate MHG. It provides the best seal/insurance against high HP abuse. It does require proper head/block deck prep and needs to be installed properly...this MHG requires a surface RA 30.
MHG differences
Ummm...not completely true. There has been a significant reduction in ZDDP, but the only real impact is in the old Chevy motors w/ flat tappet cams. Most oils I've seen have substituted soluble moly and the PAO or ester based synthetics require very little anti-wear additives to begin with...
I have mine in the same place as the pic in post #1, except the top is angled forwarded vs the bottom to kinda match the angle of the head light. Had to make brackets out of steel flat stock...also removed the stock fog lights and replaced with low profile ones to allow air to the cooler. Spal...
Shim the pump ~5mm and get rid of the stock filter head...it also has a cooler relief valve that functions at ~40 psi. Install a full flow, thermostat controlled cooler/remote filter head circuit.
Going with a thick oil to increase psi on stock bearing clearances is not a good idea IMO...the...
It's a "line pressure up" cable...the A340 tranny does not have a kick down cable ;)
It will drive fine with out it connected...harsher shift perhaps, but you will not damage the tranny. Disconnect the cable (note where the stop nuts are positioned) and take it for a spin. You might want...
OK...one more time and this applies to any MHG, including a HKS Stopper:
The block and head sealing surfaces MUST be flat for ANY head gasket to seal.
If your max boost is going to be 8 psi, I would go with a OEM composite HG. If you buy the complete head gasket kit (FelPro or Toyota)...
Yep...the decks MUST be flat. No HG is going to last if it isn't.
If a stock HG is installed correctly, the decks are flat, and you use 70-75 ft/lbs on stock bolts or ARP's torqued to spec, a stock HG will hold up pretty well. They've lasted for years running boost just below fuel cut ;)
It's not a lie. Every manufacturer of MHG's publish a RA spec for their product...why do they do that? The smoothness of the mating surfaces is critical for the viton coating to seal. The difference in expansion rates between the iron block and aluminum head produces a "scrubbing" effect the...
Yeah...you were wrong and you based half your argument on it. Not to mention the stabs you made at some very respected members here. That behavior (without being sure) is unsat...now you want to just let it slide. The damage to your credibility is already done.
Maybe the reason the guys...
I tend to agree with Nick here...take a good look at the linkage cluster on top of the passenger side cam cover. The linkage arm holes have a tendency to oblong and get loose...really easy to jam against each other. Get a helper to push the pedal to the floor a few times while you look at it.
I got news for you...I served active duty Air Force 15 years. Got shot at during the 1st go around in Iraq. I'm still in the USAF reserves...to date, my service totals 27 years. To say what you did is an insult to every service member here.
You can rationalize all you want...you're damn...
The problem is you keep posting a misinformed opinion as fact. If you're going to act like a single celled organism, you can expect to be treated like one. For the record, I back up what I have to say with facts...something you have a hard time doing.
You may have had some residual coolant in some of the cylinders. I would drop the fuel pressure though...FP that high can cause a rich miss at high RPM.
I would change the oil NOW. If you have coolant in your old oil, it will kill the bearings pretty fast...rod knock is a follow-on to a BHG...
